Well, we all have to go one day...but some choose to leave a legacy, like you are... compiling information with your videos, your music and your advice. Others do nothing. Keep it up and thanks, Keith, especially for the 'old girlfriend' jokes. I try to never miss an episode. Cheers and thanks for making the effort. You are very much appreciated. 😊

I'm surprised by how close the crosshead is to the gland at the end of the stroke and can see why you have uses csk screws rather than studs and nuts. Keep up the good work!

I have o rings as glands on several of my 5” gauge locomotives. I also have them as rings running on bronze pistons in cast iron bores. The oldest engine is 8 years old. I am pretty sure that I have never had to replace the o ring glands. When they are properly fitted they last for ages. Viton o rings all the way.

Not to be off topic , would you mind shorting the gauge sizing? Such as 4 1/2 inch to? ??

Maybe a strange question, scuse my noobliness, why does gland is not fully inside cylinder?
