They are some good power trio’s from days past but Sykes , Appace and Franklin that’s what you call a Super power trio , that blows away every power trio before them, sad that Blue Murder did take off to me they were ground right out of the gate , you want to talk about underrated ? Blue Murder is the poster child for underrated.

I've asked Tony Franklin (Blue Murder's bassist) about that second song on the album. He said it's about a hot nympho woman who drives her boyfriend mad and that it is NOT about anything bad or illegal. I didn't press him on the schoolgirl line as I'm pretty sure it's tongue in cheek and I didn't want to piss Tony off. He did admit, though, that the title and lyrics have not aged well.

"Save My Love" is my favorite song from either album. Great vocals and an amazing guitar sound (like all his songs). At the time, Boyz 2 Men was a VERY popular group that sang a lot of ballad typs songs and I had imagined that if John were have given it to them to sing (not because he wasn't an amazing singer, but more so because they were so popular) that the song would have been a worldwide hit. If you are from back in that day, picture those guys singing the song and you'll be like, "Yeah, I get it."

They were quite successful in Japan, the second album done well out there too , John Sykes has an album ready since 2015 artwork the lot. He seems to have retired from music as he doesn't Iike the industry, his last concert was on a stage in 2009 with thin Lizzy what a waste of talent .

I think the decision for the singles was wrong, maybe they could have released Billy or Blue murder or Riot as singles, and used the budget on a very cool video related to those songs instead of doing something so cliche like in Jelly roll, the video from Valley of the Kings is very good anyways. But of course, maybe if they had released the heavier singles instead of the more commercial ones like Jelly Roll, the position on the charts would have been much more lower. In any case, John always was and will be my favorite guitarist, we can't do anything but continue recommending these hidden gems of hard rock.

His guitar and songwriting skills on the big Whitesnake album were big contributors to the success of that album! Whitesnake never recovered from the loss of him leaving. I saw Blue Murder at the famous Rock & Roll Heaven bar in Toronto and they were very, very good, top notch musicians and performance.

I f*ckin' love Nothin' but Trouble. It is unfortunate that by 1993 that it is a couple years too late. I think that AOR, melodic hard rock that ride high one the proverbial horse and records sales charts around the world was cooling off in late 1991. The world had too much of a good and fun thing, becoming indifferent, setting the stage for bands from Seattle and overshadowing their predecessors rather than co-exist. I know that the musical shift is more complex, in regard to people in the music industry and MTV with different musical tastes.

Nothin' but Trouble is a magnificent production and achievement. Hard to explain it to people who aren't fans. Should be in the pantheon of all time greatest rock albums like Machine Head, Lights Out, Jailbreak, Back in Black, Night at the Opera and Boston to name a few. But anyway, wow! Just wow!!!

I mean, aside from the title, Sex Child isn´t as ilegal sounding as other songs of the era, like the ones you mentioned. I always saw it as another way to call a girl "baby", and the lyrics don´t mention anything that pictures the Sex child in question being indeed a literal child.

Man... I wish you had made Whitesnake and David Coverdale videos before making this sarcastic video. Grandpa David and the young girls... If you had told us what a grandfather David did to prevent Blue Murder from being successful. If you can't explain it, you should have learned it... John Sykes and Blue Murder were Hard'N'Heavy's salvation. If producers and music companies had given it a chance, Hard'N'Heavy would be somewhere else today. No one would listen to today's shitty music. What was done to John and Blue Murder is the breaking point. In the eyes of me and others like me, John is the "Last Commander" and Blue Murder is the "Last Castle"... Can you bring back 80's Hard'N'Heavy? You can't bring it... But at least don't bury those who did their best...

@@RichyKearnsproductions To be honest, when I saw the sarcasm in your video, I stopped watching and wanted to share my thoughts. Maybe your other videos have a similar tone: some bitter truths, a little humor, a little nostalgia... I think we are very sensitive listeners when it comes to John Sykes and Blue Murder. Please don't forget to check out Whitesnake videos. It will be a gold mine for you. For example, I wonder how you would comment on Whitesnake's Is This Love video. I'm sure you will find it more hilarious. By the way, music video directors shot many similar videos at that time. The funny scenes in the clips are entirely the work of the directors. I don't think the musicians had anything to do with it. We should not forget this either.
