Here’s the latest book review on a book that is popular but unfortunately, I didn’t seem to understand it. Neither did my husband who also chimes in with his thoughts on it.

Thanks for watching my KZbin videos. I share all sorts of content around how to use your interests, passions and hobbies to build new skills and capabilities that will help support you in your career and life so that you can always stay up to date without getting overwhelmed.
Most of the videos I share are me "working and learning out loud". That is, they're in the moment which explains why they're in portrait mode. I share short stories captured on my phone and uploaded onto KZbin which is creating a record of my work and learning through my life. My online video album if you will.
As I'm also an avid reader, I share book reviews here too (hence why you see a hodge podge of all sorts of types of videos!!)

I think there’s a time “thing” happening here in the sense that I’m reading it with a modern lens/perspective. It’s like reading Brothers Grimm tales and even though they were cautionary tales back then for children, read with today’s mindset, it just gives you a little “shock” because we aren’t used to it. 🤔😊

Its how the vibes of a city based on greed and vulgarity and cheap b grade thrills affected the minds of someone high. True they are debauched characters yet there is the truth that ethenogens give clarity. Eg The Third Reich used car salesmen humping the American dream.

F&L in LV is 1 of the funniest & trully entertaining books I've ever read. Thompson just managed to capture a certain moment of Americana just when the so promising flames of Height & Ashbury died out but the underlying subculture of psychodelics & social debauchery lived on... Well, in Hunter's own words "still humping the American dream at 4 a.m. in a LV casino".
