I had several girls on our team who were in my weight class when I wrestled varsity in high school. Although there were no female dvisions back then and the girls had to wrestle the guys, I was never allowed by the coach to practice with them.

Why? That sounds weird. So if there's no girls division, they are supposed to wrestle other boys. Why won't the coach allow you to practice with them? They are going to wrestle boys in varsity at the end.

@thematofconquering 1988.....it was different back then I guess. There were 6 other boys in that weight class at our school. They werent even going to get close to JV. My vanity says he didn't want me wasting my time as his varsity 121 lbs. And the truth is I knew they wouldn't be much of a challenge......but they were cute so of course my 17 year old self wanted to wrestle them.
