I have fond memories of Super Mario Land despite all of its flaws. They did a pretty incredible job with the soundtrack and gameplay with such limitations and early grasp of the hardware

World 1-3 had recognisable bits. I'm not sure what 4-1 was trying to do. I'm 90% sure the reason the sub didn't have bullets was because the mod creator couldn't figure out how to do them. (I actually remade SML World 4 myself in Mario Royale)

I'm able to name all the Super Mario Land enemies there. Well, sort of. I don't remember all the official names, but I remember the fanon localizations I made for them all.
