A Brief Bivouac & Picnic

Learning (& relearning) Florida wood lore. A simple plash palatka and hiking stick tarp tarp shelter, and a simple picnic of sausage, tomatoes, cheese, and coffee. In this video, I'm also learning to use a simple iPhone and gimble/tripod set-up to capture brief adventures, like this one.

This is a Council Tool Wood-Craft Camp Carver. It is incredibly useful and versatile. When I have this around, I find it even replaces tasks I would use a knife for. Council Tool also sells a straight-handle version, which I believe makes it even more versatile than the curved handle version, which I use. For a hand axe, this is my go-to, although I also use and very much appreciate the 19inch Wood-Craft Pack Axe, which is a bit heftier, and therefore arguably a bit better at processing wood.
