While similar to the game of Tarot or Tarocchi, Minchiate was a game that used an expanded deck of 97 cards, including all seven virtues, the four elements, and the signs of the Western zodiac. Join me for a little history as I compare two historic Minchiate with an earlier Italian deck that more closely resembles the later Tarot de Marseilles.
