Bravo Matthew...amazing incisive and insightful analysis of Rangeela, from a technical movie making and philosophical perspective You've really grasped the movie's essence and message, what RGV set out to convey. You get and appreciate Bollywood with all its quirks and faults, in a way most Western audiences just can't....I'm very impressed. Please continue doing this, I'm a big fan (and subscriber of course) Incidentally, Rangeela was A.R. Rahman's first original Hindi movie score (his very first was the Tamil movie Roja, another classic directed by Mani Ratnam who's RGV's mentor) Recommendations: If you want to continue to explore RGV's filmography, consider Satya and/or Company, which are much darker and grittier than Rangeela for sure, but display RGV's amazing talent (which sadly is no longer evident is some of his later works). Also, seeing your affinity towards movies with good cinematography and pure visual appeal, I also strongly recommend BARFI (*ing the incredible Ranbir Kapoor). You won't be disappointed!

Wow, you've been house moving again 😄 Talk about understanding things without mastering the language, everybody can do that and we're born with the ability to understand what's unspoken. You can read the detail of it from the book: Every Body is Speaking, written by the former FBI member (i forgot his name). Also, i want to suggest you to have a review on Mann that is starring Aamir Khan and Anil Kapoor. In the end of the film, the main female character losts her legs due to accidents and the main male character still loves and accept her 😊
