May I just say that, for me, that was the best vlog you have ever posted. We dont need foreign trips, luxury brands....modelling shoots. THAT was just beautiful. Simple. A day at home with dogs and friends and good food. IM rat phobic but you even made me feel sorry for the rat. I know making films like this doesnt earn you a great deal.....but it showed all the right priorities in life. Thankyou X

@@sanja7489 you’re absolutely right in your observations. They should’ve also killed the rat since they eat meat. People who eat meat shouldn’t save other animals. They may as well go ahead and kill so they don’t come across as hypocritical 👏

A little tip from a chef☺️ admiring Ali’s roast dinner… with his Yorkshire puddings.. use less oil so they don’t drown, keep the baking tray in the oven while pulling the shelf out a little to pour your batter in.. it stops the oil reducing in temperature too quickly… then they should puff up nicely.. 👍🏻💕xx

OMG, Lydia. I love your husband. Ali didn't want to kill the rat for all the reasons I would have. You can't do better than Ali. What a nice guy. And he is so brave about cooking for Josie and Charlie. I would be nervous cooking in front of Charlie because he is such a good cook. But Ali's roast looked wonderful and all the trimmings. We do not have a custom of Yorkshire pudding in America, and I am a bit nervous to try it. I guess the secret is to heat the muffin tins with the oil inside before you pour in the batter. I might now get up the courage to try it after watching Ali. You know, I was so inspired about your (and Josie's) Sunday roasts at the Pub, that I Googled every Pub and restaurant in the Suburban Boston area. I didn't find any place that did that. Too bad that sounds like a nice thing to do on Sunday, but I did find an historic Inn (The Longfellow Inn) close by that has roast beef as part of their normal menu, but it was 10 ounces, far too much for me to eat. But I may just do it and just bring the left overs home. :-) Thank you Lydia. Always a pleasure. :-) BTW, I love the way your hair looks, I may just have to order that silk hair rope.

I find it inspiring seeing the way you pursue beautiful living as well as finding joy and contentment in life regardless if they are simple, small moments or more glamorous events. This is how I choose to live, so it makes me happy watching and hearing how you achieve that. It encourages me to find even more ways to live beautifully, and I think it’s safe to say I have fallen down the Lydia Elise Millen rabbit hole and am thoroughly enjoying it. I think my favourite part isn’t the luxury (which I do love) but it’s the warm moments shared🥰

I get that a lot of people aren’t happy right now considering that lockdown is still occurring in a lot of places as well as the economic aspect affecting a lot of families. With that said, its not Lyd’s job to suppress her happiness in any way to make you feel better. There’s no need to take your bitterness out on someone who is simply choosing to do what makes them happy. I truly pray that those of you who are down in spirit find peace and joy in your life especially in these trying times but not at the expense of someone else’s joy. For what its worth, God bless you all ❤️

We left our birdseed in the garage in original bag and we were infested with moths last summer- it was horrible- took 2 months to get rid of them. We were terrified they would get in house. They love fabric (i.e. cushions), cardboard, dark corners. We have learned to store birdseed in sealed, airtight container.
