I love this movie and the musical is pretty good too. Sooo it was perfectly okay with the audience when the Italians are being called racial slurs like dago and guinie but were gasping in their seats when C said one back? Very hypocritical

i get the feeling that people arent nearly as familiar with slurs against white people (outside of maybe cracker) as they are with slurs against poc, so they didn't know what those words meant. but yeah, theyre both equally bad.🤷‍♀

Well C is the main character and is known to have a pure heart. so when he almost says a slur, it’s pretty surprising
