Carrying carcasses uphill is usually easier, although it's something where size does matter. The big ones come apart though, and a good comfortable weight carrying pack is a good accessory, with a meat bag to keep the flies off if there are any in Australia. An old double bed duvet cover makes a good one. Dragging is ok on flatter or downhill country.

Happen to stumble upon your video. Awesome hunt! My back and legs ached just watching you guys dragging the deer. Brought back a lot of memories when I shot a huge Whitetail deer here in New York. A little advice: next time tie the deer legs front together and hind legs together , polut a wooden stick through it and then shoulder carry it... Would ve much easier than dragging. Remember if you can drag lift it , your shoulder can most likely can handle it

1. Make shelter as close as possible to running river so when it rains you're washed away. Australia is also flooding at the moment so bonus points. 2. Make sure your shelter is leaning on a gigantic tree that is clearly from a flood so large it carries whole-arse trees. 3. Make fireplace out of river rocks so you can feel the fun of explosions in your shelter. 4. Do acrobatics on logs and stuff to increase the chance of injury in the bush. 5. Be lucky that you survive.
