Really like this idea; I’ll work on this today with a spare Janus I have. As for battery: try an empty tic tac container or 4pack mini crazy glue container

Thanks for the ideas! The tic tac container might be a good option!

Great video. Nice rig, I ordered the Janus a few days ago. It'll be my first aid kit but I like how you got it set up. Thanks.

The Janus is sweet. A very versatile peice of gear. I would like to set mine up with a first aid kit also!

Great video. I just ordered the bag, and most of the items you listed. I already have several Olights, so I will put one of them in it, and I will put a Leatherman in there rather than the utility knife.

Awesome! It's very versatile.

I have a Maxpedition Janus. While it is versatile, the Janus is just too bulky for the amount of gear that it can carry. Thanks for the video.

Thanks for the feedback. I'd like to try some of the other Maxpedition gear. It seems like good quality.

What would you add to this kit? There's definitely room for more EDC items.

Hey buddy. Nice simple kit! The Janus pouch is great. Off the top of my head the only battery case I can think of is the Thyrm cellvault. I’d imagine there are more and cheaper things on Amazon.

the most expensive item in my personal edc is the viperade pouch. the whole kit is under $75. this economy, people spending 2-300 bucks on items for this kind of stuff is silly
@toolsfordarkness2 жыл бұрын
Yes! there is some good affordable gear out there. Thanks for the comment! I'm testing out a $30 Gerber mult-tool right now. No need to spend $200.

Yeah but for some people it's a hobby. Some ppl spend 200 on base ball cards or sneakers. And some people got the money like that
@bobbyallen86212 жыл бұрын
@@thedeaderer8791 it's a hobby for me too. there's nothing wrong with cutting yourself a break and saving cash. especially in this economy. $300 on a benchmade isn't about function, but status. if i could afford one? sure, but this economy it's insane. that $300 is better spent stocking your pantry for when you don't have that kind of cash. just my 2 cents

@@thedeaderer8791 I like lower priced items also, i've lost so many pocket knives and tools over the years.

Ok… hear me out… an empty crazy glue container works great! Or a ranger band around the tall end of the battery:(s).

I will have to try it, thanks!

ableit, the most minimalist would be placing a piece of (eletrical)tape over the ends.
