Pixar PLEASE make a sequel to A Bug's Life. It's been awhile since we've had another classic Pixar film come back after so many years. The animation in A Bug's Life is already amazing to look at. Especially for it's time. But could you just imagine A Bug's Life in the top quality animation we get today? The inside of the anthill was absolutely beautiful to look at with the mushrooms glowing with a luminous light.

Not only did Joe Grant write the script for Dumbo (1940), he is mentioned in this movie because he wrote the script for The Grasshopper and the Ants (1934), the predecessor to this film that told the same story, but in a different way.

The answer to the question at @8:50 of how are the ants able to pick up that giant rock is simple. Ants in real life are able to pick 10-50 times their own body weight. That would be an equivalent of a superhero 🦸‍♂️🦸‍♀️🦸 with the strength and capacity to carry and throw cows, cars, trucks, boats, etc. So I would say it’s definitely possible. Or the ants from ABL are seriously nerfed from their DreamWorks rival 🐜 🐜. lol

Something I noticed, when hopper is getting a massage underneath the sombrero, the embossed letters on the bullet shell casing acting as a massage table are “62-64” , then a playing card diamond, and then the initials “R.D.” Typically those numbers and letters reference the caliber of the bullet but those aren’t a caliber I recognize. I think it’s a reference to something to the year 1962 through 1964 that happened to R.D. IE: Roy Disney

FINALLY! It took SO LONG but I finally managed to pause on the frame at 3:06 when something flashes on the screen... and I'm a little disappointed... It's a picture of a Grasshopper saying "I just came here to read the comments.". Also, the Twig of '93 one is A LOT more of strech than the Sully one...

Glad you caught the meme! The twig of 93, might sound like a stretch (is that a pun, because the twig is tall and thin?) But the directors of Bugs Life are the ones that said it was a reference to a bad earthquake in 93. I don't know which specific earhtquake they were referring to that year though. There were a few bad ones.
