Bulgarian in his late 20s here. I've been your subscriber for years now, love your work. Loved the video and loved Olympia pronanciation of the names.... hahaha very close. To give some info about some of the "products": -The "kubeti" are indeed bread croutons (we love bread in bulgaria, and eat it for/with everything) - when i was a lazy student who didn't know how to cook i used to put them in instant soups. - the "zayo-bayo" (or "bunny rabbit" in english) was a very popular one in the 2000s - every kid loved it (including me ofc). And the fun thing about them is that all they do is trick your stomach and brain in thinking that you have eaten something. They are indeed very "airy" , and we like to call it here "you put in your mouth Something, but you swallow Nothing" - the "medenka" (comes from the word for "honey") is very popular too. In the past it had more simple honey flavour (loved by adults) but now there are hundred types of flavours, and they are indeed very good. - the "temenuzhki" (meaning "violets") is a classic. One of the first candy here, and according to my parents, one of the few that still has the same taste as in the past. Loved by everyone (old and young) and the smell is amazing and super strong, no idea how they manage that. - the silver thing is an old desert too. Most of the older people like it... But me and my frieds didnt like it. - the "tchernomorec" (sort of meaning "black sea") bar , ok this is a funny one. So this is one of the first companies to make chocolate candy and waffles, old people LOVE them. But i dont know a young person that likes them... they are nasty. And we call them "old people candy" - and it made me laugh that you though the same thing. :D - the monkey thing is a relatevely new one, and yes it is targeted for smaller children. Here almost everything for babies and/or toddlers has a banana flavoured option, so you were right again. - the "mura" waffle. Ok i am very surprised cuz i know that most countries dont have waffles like this, but there are litteraly thousands types and flavours here. And i think that they are the main sweet snack in Bulgaria, very popular. Ps. Nowadys most of these are not that popular, because we too have/eat most of the famous bars (twix, sneakers, etc) Ps.2. I think that in general our food/candy is not that sweet/sugary. (especially after trying foreign sweets) Ps.3. This is about the Bulgarian facts: -The invetor of the computer - John Atanasoff, had a Bulgarian father (his last name kind of shows it) -The Bulgarian army never lost a war, is kind of true, but the wording is bad - we haven't lost a battle, but our downfall comes from bad descisions, bad politics and picking the wrong sides. @@D0vin00 There are mentions of what is likely yogurt in ayurvedic texts dating to 6000 bce. So, tracing the origin of yogurt back to any specific country feels a bit silly. Easier to say it's likely existed in some form about as long as herding and dairy production has. A Bulgarian scientist was the first to identify one of the bacteria used to produce yogurt, which tangentially led to the popularization of yogurt in western Europe.

@@catalincc643 Thats a good question. My memory of history is bad ( havent been to a history class for more than a decade now). But i think that at that time there was like a problem with succession. The king had like 3 sons (one of them died) , then he split the country/kingdom in two, so that both of his sons can be kings. Ofc they didnt like it and played game of thrones style shenanigans with eachother. At one point one of them was taken a prisoner by a foreign country( i think), there were some battles.. blah blah. And when the Ottomans attacked we were already diveded, weak , and also there was some bribery/betrayal involved (when i think about it.. our Country's history is full of betrayals...hmm makes u think). They attacked the kingdoms one at a time (divide and conquer i guess). And when one of the brothers was losing the other did nothing to help (cuz he was petty and stupid). And after the first lost, the second lost too ,duh (there was some betrayal from the local people too... I imagine it like a less cool and less exciting Game of Thrones storyline). So as i said , the wording for "never lost a war/battle" is bad. The loses are inevitable but are sort of technical... I guess... One of my teacher back in the day explained to me , and it made sense... But i am not that informed to answer u successfuly. Sorry. Hope this helped.
