Ross, long time subscriber (and big fan!) and first time commenter - I appreciate your response to the toxic part of the community who are throwing a literal temper tantrum about the Dior Homme Parfum change. I own the previous DHP and got to test the new one yesterday at Macy’s and I am excited that we have another version of it. I don’t understand why the community gets so mad about adding a new iris fragrance to the world of fragrances! It’s not as good as the previous version imo but I also need some time with it before I really get to make my final opinion but all in all it’s a really nice fragrance and I will grab it at some point down the line. Thanks for always keeping it real and sorry you had to put up with that nasty side of the community 👊

I was disappointed too, not with your first impression review, but with the fact that you described it as so different from the original, and i don't happen to own that masterpiece. Greetings and Happy New Year. Last week's rotation featured my new sample haul from Scentual Obsessions. This was my Christmas present to myself. Monday (night) - Campfire. Its nice and spicy. If this is what Hypnotizing Fire really smells like, even close to or better, then damn. Wednesday - Should have been just Shadow Boxing (Hacivat insp), but I inadvertently grabbed my favourite and created a layer - Double Take (Reflection Man). I don't really do the layering stuff, but this was ok. Thursday - Double Take. Back to work, after a 1+ week time off. Love this. My fav and something with the Reflection Man DNA without the price tag. My lil bro loves it soo much, that I have a bottle to buy for him....eventually. Friday - Midnight Iris. Other than the aforementioned, this is the reason I took the plunge and tried out these samples. I wanted something closer to Interlude Black Iris. And this is the closest, with the smoothness and attention to detail. Eventually buying a bottle. Saturday - Smooth Elegance (MFK GFS). If GFS smells even remotely as good and lasts as long, wow. I will be honest, of the 6 samples, it is my least favourite. But I do like it and I will be wearing it.

Deep in to summer where I am, and Seraphim Blue goes hard in the heat. I am not as big a fan of it as you are (I give it about and 8/10), but can't deny its a lovely and interesting smell, and its performance goes hard in the heat. Was still catching it 5+ hours in without going looking for it, and even had someone comment on it at greater than arms length at 4-5 hours.

I do get a lot of coconut, and I don't get much of the greens (outside of the opening). To me its core is a really (really) nice coconut scented sunscreen lotion, but it has some interesting depth to it. Like the dry down kind smells like you just stepped out of the ocean (wearing the coconut sunscreen), but also has that sweet muskiness to it.

The new Dior Homme Parfum i love it. 2. Rose fragrances as well dont do to great on my skin. The only one that doesn't smell girly on me is Toy Boy. Does this happen to you

Hell yeah! 2025 Dior Homme Parfum is nice af. People are so unappreciative of change. People complain when things stay the same, people complain when it's different. My opinion, Dior did a happy medium of keeping it in the same DNA, but different enough to warrant buying it. My wife loves it so much more than the previous one. So, that's always a win. ❤

Seraphim Blue is more than a beach or oceanic scent as its my definition of Blue; even more so than Blue Talisman. Only difference is by definition Blue Talisman is the blue scent while Seraphim Blue is Oceanic but that is really the most versatile blue scent around if thats even possible

I just got the Club De Nuit Precieux. It's good, but kinda seems a bit similar to Club De Nuit Intense Special Edition, imo. I want to get the Pharaoh, just because of that crazy ass bottle, and if it is a rose scent. I'ma big Toy Boy fan. Worried about the Asad Bourbon. I like the original Asad, but could not stand the Zanzibar. But I'll still probably grab it since it's so damn cheap.

I’ll continue say, I’ll miss the OG. With so many fragrances on my wish list I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to get a back up bottle. But I really, really like the new version. To me it’s an evolution of DHI. The new DHP belongs in the line. Do I wish it had the name Absolu or something else instead of Parfum? Yup. I realize my collection is really big and I'm not going to add much to it anymore. 300 to 400 fragrances is more than enough and I'm not a fragrance content creator. I got into this because I wanted old-school fragrances like Eau Sauvage and Paco Rabanne Pour Homme. And now I have a collection of old and new. I even have Pierre Cardin Pour Homme and Paul Sabastian. But it was the Eau Sauvage I wanted. So, made a purchase off Amazon, and low and behold this entire community showed up with influencers and fans and what's going on with the modern take. I'm going to limit my purchases because I can't have everything that comes out each year. I'm not going to replace much of the collection when I run out. I'll probably replace some fragrances with a different take on that profile. Certain ones I'll keep in the collection but back them up with a different take so I won't be spending much on a Bleu De Channel with its replacement of Bharara Tequila Bleu for instance. I don't have any of the Dior Homme's so I wouldn't know and I intend to keep it that way.

I was disappointed with eau forte. I've tried to get a bottle of og parfum for a while to no luck. I was hopeful that they were releasing something close to the original that would be readily available. Tried it. It's nice,not worth the price and not close to a sample that I had of the og. but not what I wanted. So under fk two strikes and misses. Plus. I guess I'll try getting fomos Gary's den, which I heard is close to the og. Sorry, people can't express a different opinion and not be jerks.
