You're right Ross, Coach Platinum and Sauvage EDP are not the same. That's the closest thing I have to what it smells like. The pineapple, pepper, and suede definitely separate them. If u want that profile, either will get you there.

I picked up a bottle of Safari duty free in '97 (back when you could actually get a discount buying in this fashion over full retail, and "online discounters" would've only existed in futuristic sci-fi movies!), smelled it in duty free shop and was hooked. Was aged late teens then, opportunities to head overseas so grabbed a bottle of something every time I'd fly home. Safari could be considered "mature smelling" even then, but I never felt at that tender age I couldn't pull it off, I just smelled good with a capital G. Original bottle long gone now but I have a newer one in my collection (circa 2008 I think), still does the job, would it be my "go-to" for all situations in the present day, no, but my collection is a hell of a lot larger and more versatile than it ever could be back then so comparing apples and oranges a bit really. Fact is I can't imagine anyone not liking this or thinking you're not one of the best smelling people in the room with this bubble around you, so forget about when it came out and just enjoy it...

Something crazy.. I’m 22 now and I plan on getting polo safari. Maybe my foreign appearance can pull it off just like my papa did . But POLO SAFARI is nostalgic. My papa wore it all the time when I was really little . I didn’t get to know him and he passed away when I was 7 . I wanna wear it to remember him more . As well as polo green with the gold cap and label he wore.

I have a big collection of frags but I have 200ml bottles of DS edt and edp have been getting me compliments as of late!! Coach Platinum is so good. If it smelled like "just Sauvage," that would be fine with me since Sauvage is awesome and more expensive, but it's not. However, it brings to mind the idea of what a powdery, vanillic Sauvage might smell like, and I always enjoy wearing it this time of year.

Wearing your lovers fav is a wise choice. Wise man. I don’t get the Sauvage hate. Only the best selling scent. I wear Sauvage Elixer layered with the floral or fruity frags and that just adds to the magic. It gets compliments at the gym, mall, church, wherever. Hey Ross i lost access to my other account cause a new phone this is my new one. I got enclave in the mail and i do really like the scent, only thing is i really do think they reformulated it. You said 5 sprays was super strong but i did 10 and it wasnt noticed at the family get together. I wonder what they could have really done to make it that way. You know I just got it sometimes things will open up by the 2nd or 3rd wearing. I just sprayed it again now and alright I get it it's projecting good. Must have been the environment I was in either that or I just wasn't perceiving it well but I do love the scent of it

It's like with the tygar scent profile sometimes the top note will be so high frequency it goes above what a person is expecting the mint is so vibrant I didn't realize that's what was happening

That’s crazy you say that about Sauvage. I think it’s a chicken head/F-boy frag , yet I’ve only smelled it once in the wild and I couldn’t even pick up what it was. Smelled familiar but I had to ask him what this spicy shower gel frag he was wearing. For the holidays , my highlights were Gissah Sava, Khadlaj Epoque Artistique (Vanilla heavy Victory Elixir), Nishane Ani, SWY Amber, Boss Bottled Absolu (got me wild compliments which was surprising and my cousin asked if I was wearing Layton) and the absolute highlight on Xmas day Tony Iommi Deified !!! What an absolute masterpiece!! I can’t believe I own this, thank you so much for the opportunity Ross !
