In 99 I worked at processing boat plant in Saint Paul Island, and one boat came in and I think a crewmember accidentally dropped a oil can in the fresh water crab tanks and when they got to us but I’ve loaded the whole boat load was completely gone and spoiled and disgusting it took us about 50 hours to offload it in every crab be picked up Instantly exploded from being so rotten it was disgusting I remember they got a super heavy fine from fishing game and it was the most nastiest thing I’ve ever seen.

Why is some kind of fast-application patch kit not something in their kit? It seems like a little bundle of wood, rubber, hose clamps, and some kind of caulk would go a long way for a rapid response

Quick fixes won't hold under the pressure. Need to tack weld a seal over the pipe but nobody seems to want a welder

The crab won’t die from lack of oxygen exactly, but co2 buildup. If you put a single crab in a bucket of salt water it will suffocate in about half an hour. But if you take that same crab and put it under a wet towel in a cool place, it can live 24 hours or longer.

I’m really confused. I just watched an icing up video with Sig on the Northwestern and he sent his daughter home for safety reasons. Now Scott’s boat looked to be icing up but they’re fishing. I don’t understand what the diffyin icing is🤷 I guess Sigs situation was it was to get worse?

All of Sig's pots were still on board. She let the ice form for an hour before she panicked and woke Sig, He had to hurry up and dump his pots overboard or they ran the serious risk of capsizing.

Submariners use these pipe patching kits that seem far more effective and fast. Similar concept with a gasket wrapped in steel that is clamped onto the pipe with a ratchet system. They should look into getting some of those
