Big respect, Nick. You've certainly put a shift in with Eddie the last month or so. I know many people criticise the NHS, but in cases like Eddie's, I firmly believe the UK is world class. Thoughts and prayers for a full recovery.🙏

@@NDTViThailand travel insurance do say they will stop paying if you refuse to come home when they deem it safe. No policy I've had would pay for ongoing private care inside the country. It's a ashame because edds plan was to get local insurance once he had settled down now it's months of recovery and rehab as well as ongoing chemo and proton/radiotherapy. Youve done excellent work advocating for him nick edd would be dead by now if you hadn't talked sense to him

I remember his last complicated exit from Thailand at the beginning of COVID his "Stranded in Paradise?" video on his channel. So sad to see an adventurer being wheeled off like that. NHS are brilliant for anything life threatening, so he is doing the right thing. Best of luck Ed.

Thanks Nick for what you did for Ed. It's really nice of you to have been there for him, helping him out. Best of luck to Ed, of course. I hope everything works out and he gets back to the UK because I think he's in a much better position being back in the UK, Where obviously finding out information, and communication is a lot easier. Cheers.

Look after your own health Nick. Have a beer and a long holiday. The stress will catch up on you after the adrenaline wears off. The past weeks have been intense. All the attention is on the sick but people forget that caregivers are human and break down too.

Valuable hard lessons for us all, in different ways.

Hi, Nick. Your efforts for Ed have been amazing, and I am sure Ed has been very grateful for everything you have done for him especially because you are usually a very busy man. I Have been in business myself, and I am fully aware of how much effort it takes to run a business. And given that your business interests have grown so much over the past few years it's amazing that you have been able to find the time and effort to give so much to keep us all up to date on Ed's condition. You are a hero mate. all my hopes and prayers are with Ed as he prepares for what I am sure is going to be a very long journey back the the UK. hopefully, the surgeons will be able to deal with his condition quickly, and we will see him back on his feet again. Major props to you Nick for greatly assisting Eddy and for keeping us informed. It's been sobering watching this unfold as most don't want to think about the risks of being an expat. A serious illness or accident is bad enough at home but a potential nightmare abroad. Would love to see a dedicated video about this.

Thanks for the update on Ed and thanks for doing such a good job of helping to see him through the various processes of getting to where he’s at now. I can’t believe that they are not waiting for the results of that biopsy before moving him as if he is in a fit state to do the 13 hour flight back to the Uk when he gets handed over to the nhs they will want to do it all over again as I doubt very much through personal experience they will accept diagnosis from another country . Anyway wishing Ed all the best on his journey back home and getting on the recovery journey

Ed's probably done more for insurance companies' profits than years of bombarding people with emails, social media ads and heavy tv marketing. I guess it's also a salient reminder for older tourists who set off for Asia and indeed anywhere, proudly announcing to anyone who'll listen that they don't bother with travel insurance, that if they get ill, they'll just hop on a plane back to the UK!!! What will the final bill for Ed's treatment be - I doubt there will be much change from a £100K?
