#letsdig18 @30:30, really nice side hill dozer work. That sure is odd with the roots so deep, Chris. Almost looks as if the "pond" was once a wet land with trees, said trees were cut down and the existing pond dig was tossed over the stumps. I couldn't tell if you were seeing a consistent strata of top soil, sand and clay throughout the whole process. No bottles that I saw so not a farmers dump site but anything is possible.

It utterly amazes me that you do almost(?) 45 degree slopes with that dozer and dont slide in sideways! Kudos! 🙌 in answer to why people down here have ponds, part of it is the aesthetics, part is practicality- if you have a pond, most times your homeowners insurance is a little lower, cuz if there is a fire, the fire dept has a pond to draw from

Chris, can you give a breakdown of the control sticks? Swing, boom , dipper, bucket?
@EmoryRichardson4 жыл бұрын
Pretty sure he runs ISO pattern, commonly called CAT controls. Where the left joystick left-right movement controls swing left to right, and forward-backward movement controls stick out or in. Right joystick left-right movement controls the bucket curl or dump and forward-backward movement controls boom down or up
@patrickjohnson51064 жыл бұрын
@@EmoryRichardson So the other pattern combines boom and swing together? and dipper or stick , and bucket together?
@mattywho84854 жыл бұрын
@@patrickjohnson5106 "The other" control or sometimes called "Deere" or "backhoe" or "SAE" puts the boom and swing in your left hand and the dipper and bucket in your right and in my opinion makes the most sense ! (OK Cat guys, start arguing)

Yes the SAE or Deere pattern puts the swing and boom on the left joystick and the stick and bucket on the right joystick.

@@EmoryRichardson Chris runs Cat controls on his excavators and backhoe pattern on that Deere backhoe he has at the farm.
