Good morning Mike. It's engineer Gracie. It's been awhile. Grandmother had another heart attack. She is now home and doing good. She goes to the heart doctor tomorrow. Yeah good morning Mike I'm sure that was nice to have some company on the platform. You know my dad served in the military in the 60s. He was in germany. His dad was in world war II and on my mom's side her Dan served in the pacific. I've had other relatives who were in the military Air Force I think one was and then one other one was in the army. So you know I get that it's always nice to hear the people that served talk about their experience in the service. Thanks for your service Mike and have a great day. I saw the club car in the back of the train like you pointed out. It's probably some equipment move.

Great video and conversation today Mike. And thank you for your service. Just FYI - my uncle and stepdad were both USN and were in the South Pacific in WWII, minesweeper and destroyer respectively. I have a cousin who was USN in Vietnam in the '70s and my oldest son was in the USN and served on the USS Forrestal back in the mid 80's. So we are Navy fans around here. But I have to remain impartial as I also have 2 other military sons, one served in the USAF (22 years) and one in the USMC, and my wife is Army. So we are proud of all military vets. Looks like #5 came in just a tad hot this morning, but everything got taken care of in good order. Thanks for a good one and have a great day.

I admire any person who was willing to put it on the line or was chased by the SSS in my younger years. Any family with a military heritage as yours should be saluted every day. Good Monday morning Mike! Believe it or not, it’s 58 degrees here at 9:26 AM. Should be 71 degrees here today. We finally got a steady rain during the night and it was very welcome! Nice conversation with someone from our generation... I graduated 1967, enlisted in 68. Did that passenger say where in NorCal he was going for his reunion? I thought the the #5 was just going to blow right through Fort Morgan this morning! Somebody complained about $3:59 for gas ... out here in California I will take all I can get at that price! In 1968 prior to induction I took a 10,000 mile 3 month road trip around the USA ... I paid 19 cents per gallon in Oklahoma I completed the trip in a 1963 Chevy Biscayne 6 cylinder with a three speed on the column.. Remember those, Mike? I complained about the gasoline price as I can drive about 38 miles and get the same brand for $3.08 and $3.09. Yet here in Fort Morgan we are the high price leader on the eastern plains. I expect to see California pricing in the high country and know your governor as well as all the so-cal liberals want to add more tax to the outrageous amount you pay now. Seems as though your neighbors to the north want to charge the same. Ok. I am off my soap box. Anyway, have a great evening out there. Please take care and stay safe!

Good morning, Ben; I thank you for tuning as well as the comments. I had planned to ride the trike this morning but was rather rushed to get to the platform. The heater in the cab of the pickup works quite well and the fog was cleared from the windshield long before the 7 blocks was covered. It was nice to climb back into the cab after the meet. I am planning on riding the trike tomorrow with the lows in the 50s again. Gasoline went up a few cents again here in Colorado and specifically here in Fort Morgan. Greed. As a side note, gas prices are falling locally. Yesterday regular gas locally $2.79 most places. Probably decrease as we near election just like prime interest rate. Whatever it takes to win. After that, lookout.

Good afternoon, Carolyn; Thank you for dialing in as well as the comments. Yep. My USS Independence was otherwise known as CV-62. It has long been retired and is now cut up into bits and pieces. The latest USS Independence is a Littoral fighting ship and first in its class. Sadly, it and the sister ships will be decommissioned shortly as they did not meet expectations, and structural flaws make them sinkable on their own. It was very quiet this morning on the platform other than the chat between the three of us waiting on the Zephyr. That was a treat. Have a great afternoon and evening down there.
