Well... For you to go back from Sydney is not difficult at all. For sardar ji it was pretty painful bcoz his ancestors were from there n today they are no more. Like me my father is no more but he used to relate his childhood days n used to be very emotional remembering his all friends and we used to be curious but bcoz of visa difficulties couldn't make it. Today i love to visit Pakistan but can't get visa.

Pain of those who lost their motherlands in the wake of partition of British India is understandable. There were millions of Sikhs from Punjab and Hindus from Sindh who migrated from Pakistan and India and in the same there were millions of Muslims from different parts of India, who came to Pakistan as a result of this division. I am also pained to see the tears of this young Sikh boy from Canada, when he touched the ground and house, where his ancestors once lived. Lots of love and sympathies for all those who suffered during this migration.

@@lolololllll : Just to bring to your attention that vote was not considered mandatory throughout India to determine the will of both Hindus and Muslims if they wish to join India or Pakistan. Since Sindh was a majority Muslim province, it was obviously futile to seek their opinion about the partition. As for Punjab, it was divided on the same lines of Bengal, whereby the majority of Muslims joined Pakistan and others joined India. Don't let the past kill our future.

پنجاب کے اج وہ خاندان جن کی اج کی نسلیں یعنی اولادیں اپنی جڑوں کی کھوج میں اپنے بزرگوں کی غلطیوں کا کفارہ ادا کرنے کی سڑ توڑ کوشش کر رہے ہیں ہم پنجابی سکھ ہوں یا مسلمان یا دوسرے مذہب کےماننے والے پہلا رشتہ ماں بولی پنجابی تے رسم و رواج دا دوسرا رشتہ انسانیت کا سکھ بھائیوں کے مذہبی مقدس مقامات مغربی پنجاب میں ہیں جن کی زیارت کرنے کے لیئے اج ہر سکھ بھائی بیتاب ہے وہ ہندو بنیۓ کی چال کا شکار ہو کے اس وقت کے سکھ بزرگ بھی اپنے مقدس مقامات کو بھول گئےاور اپنے گھربار جائدادیں چھوڑنے کےساتھ مذہبی مقامات بھی چھوڑ گے کیوں کے پہلے بزرگوں کو ہندو بنیۓ نے ایسے ایسے سبز باغ دیکھائے کے سکھ بزگوں کو ان سبز باغوں کے سوا کچھ نظر نہ ایااور وہ ان کی چال کاشکار ہو گے اور اج ان کی نسلیں خمیازہ بھگت رہی ہیں کاش اس وقت سکھ بزرگ مذہبی محبت میں سرشار ہوتے تو اپنی اس مقدس دھرتی کو کسی قیمت نہ چھوڑتے ہندو بنیئے کی چال کا تو سکھ بھأئیوں کو تقسیم ہند وپاک کے فورن بعد ہی پتہ چل گیا کہ ہندو بنیئے نے ہمیں اپنے مفاد کے لیئے استعمال کیاہے اورہمیں وہ حق نہیں دیا جس کا ہندو بنیئے نےتقسیم کے وقت دینے کے ہزاروں وعدے کیئے تھے اور اس کا سکھ بھائیوں کو سن چوراسی میں اپنے نوجوانوں کی قربانیاں دے کر واضع پتہ چل گیا کہ اس چالباز بنیئے نے سکھ قوم سے وشواس گھات کیا ہے سکھ قوم اج بھی اپنے اصولی حقوق مانگنے کی سزا جھیل رہی ہے اور یکے بعد دیگرے اپنے جوانوں کی قربانیاں دے رہے ہیں سکھ قوم کے ساتھ پاکستانیوں کی محپت کوئی ڈھکی چھپی نہیں ہے ہندو بنیئے کی چال کا شکار ایک قوم ہوئی جو صرف پنجابی قوم تھی وہ سکھ تھے یا مسلمان تھے پنجابی ایسی چال چلی کے ایک ہی قوم دو حصوں میں ہو گئی اور مذہبی نفرت کا لپادہ ہندو بنیئےنے ایک ہی قوم کو پہنا کر ایک کو سکھ اور دوسرے کو مسلم اور نفرت کا بیج بویا کہ وہ جو پنجاب کی دلیر بہادر جیدار قوم تھی دو حصوں میں بٹ کے ایک دوسرے کے خون کے پیاسے ہو گے اور ایک دوسرے کے خون سے جی بھر کے پیاس پجھائی جب ہوش أئی تو یہ قوم اپنا بہت کچھ تباہ و برباد کرچکی تھی اور ہندو بنئیہ یہ ہی چاہتا تھا اور دور کھڑا بندر کی طرح اگ لگا کے تماشہ دیکھتا اور اپنی کامیابی کے جشن منا کے خوش ہوتا رہا اور اج تک خوش ہو رہا کیونکہ وہ جانتا تھا اس قوم کی طاقت اور بہادری کو اس کو پتہ تھا فرنگیوں سے ہم أزادی لے بھی لیں گے تو ہندوستان کی مرکزی ریاست پنجاب جو ہر لحاظ سے ذرخیز مٹی کی ہے جس کی مٹی اناج بھی اگلتی ہے دنیا کا ایک حصہ اس پر پلتا ہے اور جوان پیدا کرتی ہے تو اس کا بھی جواب نہیں ہندو بنیئے کے دل میں یہ پنجابی قوم کا خوف تھا جو اس کی نیندیں خراب کر رہا اس کو خوف تھا اگر ازادی کے بعد اس قوم کے ساتھ حقوق میں ہیر پھیر کی تو اس کو ہوش اگیا تو یہ پنجابی قوم ہے جو فرنگیوں کے بعد پورے ہندوستان پر راج کرے گی اور ہمیشہ کے لیۓ ہم اس قوم کے محکوم بن جائیں گے اور اسنے اس قوم کو مذہب کے نام پر دو حصوں میں بانٹ کر مذہب ہر انسان کی بہت بڑی کمزوری ہے سکھوں کو جو چکمہ دیا وہ یہ کہ سکھ ہندو مذہب کا ایک ونگ ہے حصہ ہے تم لوگ ہمارے ساتھ رہو ہمارے بھائی ہو ہمارے برابر کے حقوق ہوں گے مسلمانوں کے ساتھ ہمارا تمہارا کوئی رشتہ نہیں کوئی تعلق واسطہ نھیں یہ وہ نفرت کابیج تھا جس کا علاج اس وقت سادہ صفت لوگوں کے پاس نہیں تھا یہ چنگاری تحریک أزادی کے شروع دنوں میں سلگائی تھی جس کی طرف کسی نے دھیان ہی نہین دیا جو چند زیرک بزرک دانشور اس چنگاری کے مضر اثرات کو جان چکے تھے انہوں نے دبے لفظوں اس طرف اشارہ بھی کیا مگر ان کی کسی نے سنی نہیں اج ہم اپنے سکھ بھائیوں سے نفرت کی بجائے دل و جان سے پیار اور عزت کیوں کرتے ہیں جانتے ہیں قصور ہی نہیں ہمیں تو سوچی سمجھی اسکیم کے تحت امنے سامنے لا کھڑا کیا اور ہم پنجابی قوم نے روائتی سادگی سے عقل سے کام نہ لیا اور ایک چالباز بنیئے کے الہ کار بن کے اپنے اپ کو مار لیا سکھ مرا یا پنجاب کا رہنے والا مسلمان چڑھدے کا ہو یا لیندے پنجاب کا مرا تو پنجابی اور جب ہوش ائی تو ہم پنجابیؤں نے خود اپنے اپ کو تباہ و برباد کر ڈالا یہ تو رب کا بڑا کرم ہے کہ چوہتر سالوں بعد بھی ہمارے نوجوان سکھ بھائیوں کو اپنے پرکھوں کی اس مٹی سے مذہبی مقامات کے ساتھ روحانی عقدت تو دائمی ہے ہی لیکن جو فطری عقدت اپنے بزگوں کی جنم بھومیؤں کے ساتھ وہ قابل دید ہے دیر أئد درست أئد ۔۔۔۔۔ اج کچھ سکھ مسلم نوجوان اپنے چینلوں کے ذریعے دن رات محنت سے پھاگ ڈوڑ کرکے تقسیم کے وقت کے پچھڑے لوگوں اور خاندانوں کو تلاش کر کے ایک دوسرے کو ملا رہے ہیں بہت بڑا نیکی کا کام کر رہے ہیں ہماری دعاء ہے خالصتان ازاد ہو اور سکھ بھائی ازادی سے اپنے مذہبی مقدس مقامات کی زیارت کریں اور اپنے پنجاب اور اپنے پنجابی کے ساتھ دکھ سکھ کے ساجی ہوں اور ان شاءاللہ ایک دن بہت قریب ہے جسدن خالصتان کا جھنڈا چڑھدے پنجاب میں لہرائے گا۔

My parents migrated to Pakistan from Agra Indian in 1947 they used to own big house/building right next to Fatipuri gate of Taj Mehal. I was born In Pakistan and I am 63 years old now settle in Washington, DC USA. Recently my daughter was sent to India from her job (She managed her company Indian office at Durgaown outskirt of Dehli with staff of 14 people from her USA office). She decided to visit her grandfather home while in India and contacted one of our relative still living in Agra India and ask him if he can arrange with current Hindu owner for her to see the her grandfather old house and take some pictures. Not only that Hindu owner insulted my relative but also made threat against my daughter and ask him to tell her to go back to Pakistan (LOL. She is not Pakistani citizen but USA citizen) and cursed him never to bring any Pakistani Muslim in Agra India. PS. When my daughter told me the whole story I laugh and told her you made a mistake you should have invited that Idiotic pathetic RSS Hindu to you 5 stars hotel in Agra and put $ 100 bill on table to see how quickly he changed his mind not only allowed you to take pictures but also video of whole house.

I still to this day believe it did not have to be that way. We Panjabis have a shared history dating back to at least 1200 AD. We lived peacefully as Muslims, Sikhs, and Hindus. Much of the bloodshed was a result of the depravity and religious tension stoked by the British. I am from Hoshiarpur, and I truly hope you come and visit your ancestral home.
