I can’t stop listening to this! I’m older, and this is such an eloquent depiction of the next generation discovering the human condition. For some unknown reason The enthusiasm and excitement plus the performance, and especially all the work, skill, and experience that obviously went into this, gives me hope that the next generation, and by extrapolation every generation, has its deep thinkers, masterful artists, poets, problem solvers, encouragers, etc. May you thrive!

Commented a year ago ... but there is somthing I have to add and i am sure ... you are with me. This song trows me back into my past, but ... I want my daughter to explore all this on her own again .. because it is ... priceless. Because I understood ... there has to be a generation, that sits after a night full of memories and stories at the bus station. And they have explored the meaning of life. And they are the only one on this planet, who did this!!!! This song is not for us who had these experience, its for those, who will go through all of this!

I only recently discovered this band like 3 months ago. This song is so pure, brings so much nostalgia. I'm 52. musician since I was 4, both my parents are still here, thankfully, but that line "Before Mom and Dad went gray" hits so hard. Wish I could take my 52 year old soul and throw it back through time into my 18 year old self and start over again, but with better choices. Second, I wish I could acquire a version of this where each part is separate, so I could hear each person's part individually. It's all amazing put together, but I'd love to hear a break down.

This song/video is BY FAR my absolute favorite from WOTE. I can't stop coming back to watch it. And thats saying something, Two other songs had a seemingly unreachable lead. Its especially awesome to watch this seeing the incredible contrast between now & when they first started sharing their ridiculous level of talent with the world. But what I love most about them is they aren't here to show off, flaunt material things, sell out then act like they didn't, etc. They genuinely love what they do with every bone in their body & that's clear in every video, every song, every show, every smile... Chill out, guys! How can we impress anyone after you set the bar so high? Lol I'd never want to follow WOTE lol 😉 TL;DR: WOTE is like awesome or whatever🙃

[LYRICS] I used to run Camp in the backyard Play in the sun We couldn't wait to grow up Man, we were young All of the crazy things We thought we'd become We were so young Before mom and dad went grey Before my friends moved away I never thought I'd feel this way, but I do Before I knew what it meant To love somebody you can't get And fight the voices in your head That tell you what to do When did the simple things get so complicated? When did the future stop feeling so far? When did our lives decide to play out like they did? But we're getting smarter The farther and farther we go The farther and farther we go The farther and farther we go We laid in the grass Talking and holding hands We thought it would last All of the things we had And when I look back Back on the past someday Maybe I'll laugh We were so young Before mom and dad went grey Before my friends moved away I never thought I'd feel this way, but I do Before I knew what it meant To try to love someone you can't And fight the voices in your head That tell you what to do When did the simple things get so complicated? When did the future stop feeling so far? When did our lives decide to play out like they did? But we're getting smarter The farther and farther we go
