A Career as a Union Cement Mason

I'm a journeyman cement Mason in the union here in Washington state. Great pay and great benefits. We start out at $40 an hour for journeyman. Although it is hard on the body. I have had two spinal surgeries and one weekend and bilateral hernia surgery. I have destroyed my body so if you pursue this career be sure to lift properly at all times. But it is great pay and great benefits and you can make some good friends and actually be a part of something.

I’m a union journeyman in Chicago and I make 50 a hour at its can be ruff long days but it’s worth and for all the hard work there’s definitely easy days to help give a little balance

$17.25 in SoCal starting and journeyman wages are $34.50. Benefits are dope too. Fringe pay is about 10.50 extra so it's like ur making 27.25 starting. Some other trades may or may not pay more but it comes down to you loving what you do.

Rzl dzl you're correct. It' a concrete. The difference between the two is concrete has aggregate. Cement does not. But if you were educated in the masonry field you would know a finisher finishes cement not concrete. Because that is what is left on the surface after vibrating an bull floating is done.
