He looked quite flamboyant with those funky hair and immediately he would attract any kind of attraction. Jealousy is there but KP’s mistake is also there. Both Strauss and KP are not English born. But Strauss quietly integrated into the English society and team and even later became their captain and Director of English cricket. KP used to always show off about how he was richer and more high class than the rest of the English team. As a result he couldn’t make any friends within the team other than another outcast Michael Vaughan. The last straw which broke the camel’s back was KP mocking the English players in front of their opponents in South Africa. Just compare him with Virat who is also friendly with Pakistanis. But he always is fiercely protective of the respect of Indian players.

I appreciate the fact that you acknowledged that he was a player who explored his avenues. But, he is player who could've played from any country, his legacy would've remained. His game, his mindset, his demeanor, was always on point!! KP is a player who could've played from any team, but his legacy would've remained. Because of his caliber as a batsman who could score anywhere. Translate that to a T20 scenario and you'll understand the greatness of kevin Pietersen. There hasn't been a scenario where he was convicted of anything that the runours would have you believe. He has been a model cricketer through and through. And he's been an entertaining cricketer. And that's enough for us.
