Mike- great video - Seth's early on situation is also mine to a 'T', I left the corporate world & have been trading myself since 2019 - I communicate with a group of other traders every day, however it's still trading "alone" especially at the start. I would hope all of your guys realize and appreciate how lucky they are for the opportunity to be part of a team like yours

Without the order book, level 2, T&S, SMB would not be the great company they are, but you have to work on yourself more than your edge. Your emotional hunter gather survival mechanism will work against you in trading, you have to become a robot that does not think, but reacts to your edge as the market provides the opportunitys that come and go.

You guys are absolutely amazing I have been in this for about 40 days and in the last two weeks since I found your Channel my mind or sorry my whole level of conscious awareness about options has shifted twice in a good way and while sitting here trading while listening to your videos I get upset about a stock that I know is going to plummet and there's just no puts available and just like second nature I created a strategy to benefit from the drop of price anyway and I was so excited that even if I was to lose thev trade that ust the ability to come up with a strategy like that and i remind you this is something that I did not have the ability to do or understand before i listen to your videos just that ability to do so is absolutely amazing to me thank you so much for for teaching in the way you do and for being real not minding that people may be deterred so that us that need that to become better Traders and become Traders. Is an awesome thing because a lot of channels will not say anything like that to lose a a viewer they don't mind you being a horrible Trader in fact I'm pretty sure that happened them really don't know how to trade themselves and I can honestly say that after 40 days

Talent is sooo important, and I'm certain it has more to do with a trader's ability to _rely on intuition_ regardless of the education, instructor, strategy, trend, overall direction, etc. Of course, this all assumes sufficient learning on the trader's part has taken place beforehand.

I basically use an hybrid approach to obtaining the desired outcome that's a mixture of what is heavily used in computer science "called divide and conquer", the other part of the approach I use in order to accomplish goals it the same the a sport coach would use, I have microcycles, mesocycles, macrocycles and the combination of 4 macrocycles is what composes the yearly objective, microcycle is one week long, mesocycle is one month long, macrocycle 3 month long. I invented it myself, it's a mixed approach of what is commonly used in sports science and computer science towards solving a problem or obtaining a desired outcome ( it takes into account sport psychology as well ) backed by reasonably simple math, statistics and data science. To work it assumes to fundamentals through, a growth mindset and a reasonably strong will power. I like to think of it as a generalized blueprint that's applicable to solving an incredibly variety of problems, whether the problem is acquiring a new skills, improve upon an existing one or fix anything that doesn't work as well as it should.

Only an elite trader will reflect on the need for improvement even after a win. It is the state of a man ascending to master. After all, the eternal student is paradoxically the master all the same. To cease the pursuit of mastery is to cease masterhood all the same.

We can't release specific results on traders but can say that most of the best traders on the desk are trading books in the millions and on good days can pull out 100k+ but a lot aren't utilizing full buying power unless they are extremely confident in certain plays. Hope that gives you an idea

I love this video because so many pieces resonates with me. Especially the piece around growth mindset. It is key to developing the art of trading. Prior to me trading for living, I worked at an insurance company, hated my job, the company went public, and I eventually left the company (sound familiar? 😄). My trading niche is SPX weekly options specifically finding recurring price action fractal ratio formations supplemented by Fibonacci arches to identify support, resistance, and closing targets. It’s not something I learned from anywhere, it is something I evolved into through years of trading and learning from the trades. I started off like many others using common indicators but slowly transformed to my niche I trade with now. It’s unique, it’s consistent, and it works for me. And all of this is only possible because a long time ago, I learned my mindset had to change to a growth mindset. Not only have I read the book Mindset, but I’ve personally worked with Carol Dweck on developing growth mindset. It’s one of the most important behavioral change a person can make.

Also B the trader (youtube channel) who i trust has done an interview with SMB. I know theres always going to be that pissed off guy who comes back and writes negative rreviews but when it comes to trading channels/firms/Gurus....There seems to be a lot of scammers. When you say Shark asked for 100k additional risk, does that mean he can draw down 100k or he is requesting an additional 100k in capital to put in play? I guess I am trying to understand, what 3-4 levels of capital different traders are allocated if you can answer?
@smbcapital
@smbcapital 4 жыл бұрын
In this case it was 100K of additional draw down risk. Sharks book is well in the +20 million so 100K of additional buying power wouldn't do much for him.
