It is lovely to see your extended family sharing Chuseok meal. Also lovely to meet Dave and James; I lived 7 years in Canada and I did all of my high school in Montreal. It's like second home. Your video was 20 minutes long but went by in 5 minutes. It is like your meals: You cook 3 hours to eat the meal in 30 minutes! lol. 🙏🏼♥ Love your music🎶

It's interesting, though probably not surprising, that Chuseok got named by Americans as the "Korean Thanksgiving" as it's autumnal, involves a feast and celebrates the harvest (same reason as the Pilgrims first Thanksgiving). But from what I've been reading, it seems to lean more towards a Korean Dios de Los Muertos. One gathers with family not only to celebrate the harvest, but to pay respects to the ancestors and hold memorial services, including feasting on certain foods.

The crab toy was hilarious, and I have to agree with the cat and Claire that it was also scary. I'd take the bag over the crab, too 😉 A very, very Happy Chaseok to everyone in your family, on two feet or four paws. Looking it up, I see it's an Autumnal equinox festival that honors the harvest, family and ancestors. It sounds very special.

How funny, just returned from the supermarket , and had some sashimi and kimbap for dinner, when I discovered your new video...had a lot of fun with Seol and her reactions to the new toys ( although, from a cat's point if view, an empty bag or box might be better than any toy) ...and Woon reaction to that musical walking toy ( by the way, Woon is soooo cute, looks almost like a canine snow white...) . And about the new recipe, when I'll try it , what can I replace the abalone with ? ( I'm pretty sure there are no abalones in my country, never seen any , anywhere ) .

Thank you for your kind comment :) You don't have to put abalone if you can't buy abalones in your country. It doesn't effect soup's taste. It's purpose was to enjoy tender texture of long-cooked abalone !
