“A CATASTROPHE For This Country!” Net Migration Hit Record Level Of 745,000 in 2022

Rishi Sunak is facing calls from Tory MPs to “act now” to bring down net migration, as new figures showed that it hit a new record of 745,000.
Revised estimates from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) put net migration to the UK in the year to December 2022 higher than previously thought. However, the figure for the year to June 2023 is estimated to be lower, at 672,000.
In a strongly-worded statement, the right-wing New Conservative group of MPs demanded action from the Prime Minister and his Home Secretary James Cleverly.

I've just seen some videos by DJE media going around filming immigrant hotels. One stood out being run by Nigerians and housing non English speaking men from Iran. This is illegal trafficking. Other parts of country showed holiday inns filled with migrants and security guards were migrants. Each migrant is given a free bike which were all parked outside. If I remember correctly British nurses who trained for years gave up because the N.H.S. wanted nurses from abroad who hardly trained at all because they were cheaper to hire. The whole reason we are here now is because of previous government policies to sell everything off and get cheap labour and not pay for it. Who wanted cheap labour and not professionals well guess who. Sir Tony Blair thank you for everything you have done for this country. Knighthood deserving. Luckily we had Professional Armed Forces to protect our country not an imported one. Though I would guess that most of the new nice people coming into our country would like to fight for us. Which I doubt. Still veterans to the back of the housing queue we have more important people to house. I know this because this happened to me when I left the Army after 22 years service. I was told to go back home and I am English.

This is exactly the point, it's not just about numbers, cheap labour has driven down salaries and standards for everyone. I worked for a prestigious company that behind the scenes employed student immigrants who knew no better, didn't know what they were entitled to or who cared too much as they only stayed for 6 months before moving on, they wanted to say on their CV they worked for a UK prestigious company so accepted all sorts of underhand conditions and the company got cheap labour, I know because I had to waste my time training them for months knowing they'd be leaving. In another job around 35% couldn't speak english, when problems arose they deleted, ignored or just walked away from it, causing major headaches to sort out. In 3 yrs (before pandemic) our overtime pay went from double to zero because the company employed immigrants who were cheaper, not because the company was struggling in any way.

I read that the state of Texas along with 25 other states have came together to secure the Southern Border. Some American states are not taking this anymore. In some areas, Texas have kicked out the feds and have laid down 3 rows of razor wire. Supporting states have sent National Guard troops to help Texas guard/patrol the border. I saw a video of people coming across the Rio Grande river and were expecting to be allowed in. The National guard troop told them no. The soldiers told them they needed to go to a legal port of entry. Then, told them they needed to swim back to Mexico. They did. The American's are tired of the disrespect and lack of assimilation.

In Canada, we had a system years ago for those who were collecting unemployment insurance. It was mandatory that they apply for jobs with proof and dates. These were submitted periodically and checked. You could not refuse a job or you would be cut off. This needs to be reintroduced.

Legal immigration is a huge money maker. My wife came to the UK legally five years ago. With multiple visa and NHS fees, cost of various English language and Life in UK test etc the total cost was in the region of £15000. At the end of the five year process we were told the final decision as to whether ILR would be granted would take at least six months but if we wanted to pay an £800 fee we could could get a decision within days. It’s a huge amount of money if you multiply it by the number of people entering the country legally and I’d be very interested to know what happens to it all. Edit : Quick google search turned up the government income was £2200 million from immigration in 2022 plus another £1700 million in surcharges and £600 million in employer levies. The visa fees are going up by 15-35% in 2024 and the NHS fee by 66%.

My wife and I went through the same process and paid exactly the same fees you mentioned. Especially the NHS fee which is charged twice for each of the 2.5 year term spouse visa is huge. Soon we will have to pay roughly another £4k for an indefinite leave to remain and the British passport. In the meantime, we keep paying income tax, national insurance, corporation tax and VAT for our business. There`s always this talk of "immigrants get everything for free" on this channel and in the press. I genuinely wonder who those immigrants are and how they do it.

@@unirockproductions2333 My wife got her ILR last year. We paid the £800 for a quick decision because we didn’t want the additional stress of waiting six months for an answer. We’ve been together 15 years and had plenty of evidence to prove our relationship. We are both retired, own our own home outright, have more than enough income to meet the Home Office criteria but were treated like criminals from start to finish. As you say, there seems to be this illusion that immigrants get everything for free and it’s fair to say a lot do but I don’t know how they do it either. Everyone I met while my wife was taking her tests had paid the same fees as us. Like I said originally, I’d love to know where the money goes, do the NHS get those fees we paid or does it go to the treasury ?!!

talking about training British people up from 18-29 i moved from job to job unable to settle then when i was 30 i tried to get retrained as a mechanic as i past my test and found a love for everything to do with cars it was like i found what i wanted to do with the rest of my life and become self employed, i applied for it to be told by the colleges i needed to get funded from the job center so i went there and they told me point blank i was too old to be retrained as they only do funding for 18-21 year old's to retrain so i tried plumbing and electrics to get the same answer i was too old, long story short i gave up trying there's no point everything is stacked against you from the start with the system.

Net Zero migration. Zero entrance without a visa and immediate deportation for those that enter illegally. Give priority to immediate family and immigrants that contribute the most. The only exceptions should be people from neighboring countries who are in mortal danger due to political persecution, and rare exceptions when a number of slots are reserved for refugees from a trustworthy country like those from Ukraine. Such simple concept and yet politicians rarely have the courage to make it the law or enforce it.
