Close to boring Just 🥱👎 rubbish for their standards of musicians I saw them live in 1991, Manchester They do sound great live, but some of their music is Over done, they have made records with raw energy and dark melodies Their style is unique and different, the trumpets and jazzy guitars were sketchy, avoiding the mainstream charts by image and radio play I usually skip the tracks on all albums, but they gave made some essential dance floor tunes, but these days I would rather watch the paint dry 👎

Was there an artist called Monty on the Mute label?I had a Mute catalogue years ago,along with one from Anagram records,and he was on one of the labels but I can't remember which,though I'm pretty sure King of Luxembourg was in the same catalogue.I've looked online,but can't find anything by him.

Nothing like New Order.! Just a typical pop record by any standards Never been a fan of all ACR stuff, they were better with fast songs, with the odd dance/ soul tune, there is no energy in this song that wants me to hit the dance floor
@garysmith7184 Жыл бұрын
@@empireman1077 ACR were around before New Order. They were contemporaries of Joy Division in the early days of Factory records. When New Order were kicking things off in 81, ACR were already well established. Tony Wilson's great hope! Too cool to be chart toppers. I have never, not in a life of gig going, seen a better live band! Fact! Everyone should experience the ACR live show! Wow!!! 💣

crazy how they've both released new music as of late. great to have them back
@empireman10773 жыл бұрын
@@sunsetman22 Probably, because no other record company would sign them up to their label Depeche Mode have been on Mute for years. I saw DM, live before they were on telly and getting established (82) Just ACR never had the promotion like New Order & Happy Mondays did. Section 25 & The Durutti Column ( Factory), took ages to produce albums and tour like Happy Mondays and NO ACR started of as a punk band that had musicians who would like to create jazzy and funk records It may of been the fans up North who could hear these times at clubs but down South it wasn't the scene back on those days I don't Factory Records would of released a best of ( singles ) ACR ? I have 2 albums on Mute that are all 7' &12 versions A commercial package that is the music industry in Business 🤌💷

@@haroldz2323 i just 'reverse engineered' this, rolling bass line, straight 4/4 'single' beat two chords the entire way through "you never ever leave your hair alone" its annoying mate. some of the greatest tracks by the greatest artists of all time (from the 80's until today) are under the mute banner. i do believe i have already done much better, but its not about me, yet... anyway, i dont have to fly planes to criticise a pilot who crashes, silly.
