I mean they did spend the entire first season of Railgun with no underlying plot. There were full episodes of them on the beach in bathing suits.

@@casey7376 I fully agree the plot of index is a little nonsense but Railgun/Accelerator make up for so much of that.

The bridge scene in Railgun S is 50 times more better than the index version, is so emotional that I literary cried 😢

Imo the pacing and atmosphere in index was better, i've ended up bawling in the index version

Man I always remember this scene, no matter what strong she is, Misaka is already in broken hopes that can't ask for someone to help. Meanwhile, Touma has already has broken body and past due of overuse of his power and lots of deaths yet he still manages to come forward. The dynamic is beyond on them even there's a lot of harems.

I never said this was the peak of all of toaru, it’s ONE OF toarus peaks but not it’s actual peaks and you would know this if you actually read the novels which you clearly didn’t, because touma can’t do any of the things you said. He can’t Annihilate all possible futures or firearms that came from nowhere. Like wtf are you even talking about

@@untantic I won't comment anything about Toaru's story in general or whatever you mentioned above because I only just started, but I will say this. Why exactly are you replying to someone that seemed to like this series or even like this specific part? If you don't like it, that's fine. If you find it boring, that's also fine. But don't ruin someone else's enjoyment.

@@untantic Though something I noticed with the beginning of OT (at least reading up to OT4) is that Touma isn't exactly that powerful. Like yeah, he has the power to cancel out supernatural powers, but even he has limits to how much he can cancel out. That and during OT Volume 3, he admits that he can't exactly fight multiple opponents, but can fight someone one-on-one (if they don't know how to fight). Like yeah, I'm essentially comparing Touma from the beginning of the series to what you're describing about GT Touma. But then again, the OP main character thing is essentially what I can say something like the Date A Live protagonist (Shido) where it's essentially a normal person is actually the strongest person in the world. But the reason why I'm still gonna read the rest of OT and beyond, at least whatever Season 1 adapted because that's how much I've actually watched (why am I talking to someone that read up to GT), is the stuff that they cut from the anime and Touma himself. Like with OT4, it was very different from what I remember from that specific part of the anime. That and I was curious how they characterized Touma in the light novels (which I still don't know, please don't spoil it for me). Though something I will say about the worldbuilding is that I don't think it's too bad as of reading OT4, it's that it is bit confusing and a lot of stuff. Like I will say that it's a lot like something out of what I've seen from Fate (at least Extra and CCC) and Witch on the Holy Night. Though I don't want to judge things from what you both said, I want to see what the rest of OT (5-21), NT, and GT is like without knowing anything. Though it's got me pretty intrigued about the rest of the light novels. And like my personal criticisms right now is more to the Index Season 1 anime and how they adapt the light novels.

This is why in the final part of the opening, it would be better seeing Touma turning around to see Misaka, with a nice, caring smile on his face and patting her head.
