Spoiler alert for those who haven't watch A Certain Magical Index 3's episode 6 or read the manga chapter 133 to 149: I agree...She may be adorable and lovable,but we must not forget that she is not a good person...1st she takes pleasure in slowly and sadistically tormenting her targets before killing them,then at 6:02,it clearly shows that she don't care if the target is a good person or not,what goal her target has in life and what kind of life they lead...She'll still kill them as long as she is paid to do it...Her target could have been someone who'll make a positively big difference to the world,discover something life-changing for the better,or someone who is an activist,saving lives,but it doesn't matter to her...She gets paid to do the job,she'll kill that person,slowly and sadistically...How many innocent lives has she taken this way?We will never know...The fact that she is trying to kill Mikoto,who hasn't been doing anything wrong,without even finding out who or what is her target,shows how blind of a person Frenda is...She may not have deserved to be sliced in half by Mugino,but I don't feel sorry for her death...I only feel sorry for Ruiko,who lost a newfound friend without knowing it,nothing more...

Regardless of "cute" or whatever, she's hilarious and very well written. That's all I really care about and it's why I love her as a character. She's super fun to see in the series.

Ah yes, Frenda, the throwaway character that was offed in the most rushed pathetic way possible but now has to keep coming back because she turned out to be more popular than they anticipated. God I hate To Aru sometimes

@@electricspeedkiller8950 When Frenda died, Railgun didn't even exist yet. She was introduced and died in the same arc as Index, meaning she was written to die. The author just didn't expect that after that, it would become popular. Because he was popular, his character returned but this time in Railgun with a backstory. And now your ITEM group has also won a Spin-off but it takes a year before Index starts.

God I love Frenda she's so cool. Level 0 and had Misaka on the ropes. Although I guess her pocket dimension skirt's basically an esper ability already. Still the way she fights is just so good. Bonus points for being a cutie patootie too.

@@e8u4a8n7 She's confirmed level 0. She uses her traps and trinkets to fight, like the bombs and smoke. She ignited those lines by accident with a solder-iron-looking thing that fell out.

When I saw that it was Frenda who would face Misaka, my thoughts were: Oh the blonde is going to underestimate her opponent, she will be defeated in five minutes. In the end it was Misaka who underestimated Frenda, she kept making plans to counteract her superior strength, with it bombs, Misaka couldn't fry Frenda since she was too busy blocking explosions. Frenda's bluff to make Misaka stop using her electricity so she could hit her in hand-to-hand combat was great, if only she had kept her mouth shut, Misaka wouldn't have even noticed and Frenda would have slit her throat.

The bluff was fantastic, & I don't really think Frenda running her mouth is what caused her to lose. The "death wish" part was to keep Mikasa in the bluff, & the part about taking lives there to give Mikasa her little angry protagonist speech. I'm pretty sure Mikasa was going to block that attack regardless, but the writers wanted to give her the whole "losing protagonist blocks an otherwise fatal attack, then gives a cool speech before finally repelling it & turning the fight around" moment. In the end, Frenda underestimated Mikasa again, thinking she couldn't block that attack, and then AGAIN, thinking she wouldn't go for a follow up immediately, & it very quickly led to her loss.

Bro, Frenda was about to sell out to Misaka, since her internal monologue confirms it was just ’cause her tounge was numb that she didn’t. What’s the name of that trope where a character references or jokes about something that only the audience knows about? Anyways, it’d make for an interesting IF story.

HOW exactly did she repel ceramic material with electromagnetism?

The only thing i have to ask is... how does Electromagnetic fields stop things like rubble and ceramic? I could understand if the rubble is affected by magnets but rock? VERY few have any magnetic affects but its often miniscule. Falling rubble with metal in it i I can give a pass... but ceramic? No shot. That ceramic piece would pierce thrugh the magnetic field. Contrary to pular belief electricity is not all powerful tool for everything. It is powerful but it has limits.

Because anime. Could be explained away by vaporized ferrous particles in the air/coating the ceramic bits if she's powerful enough to create a strong enough (yet localized enough, so she doesn't particle accelerate billions of holes through her own internal organs) magnetic field to repel against the energy of the ceramic, but at the end of the day rule-of-cool comes first in anime.
