Flames is such a cute song. the instrumental, Step, is a song about hopeful optimism and working hard, facing the future, and doing well. TTFAF, underneath all its fantastical lyrics, can be a song about hope as well. Listening to the lyrics of TTFAF over such a cheery instrumental paints its lyrics in a new light, now about a hopeful future that can be seen past the flames of war.

Flames! is the punch in the face I didn't know I needed. It's Gonna Be A Face Off somehow makes Face Off go even harder, something I didn't even think was possible. Dirty Money's Jason Derulo jumpscare. That's all. Check Yes Avril makes me want to kill God with the power of love. Uptown interlude is a fever dream, but the good kind. Psychomovin is completely worth the extra effort to find it and listen to it. Easy Demons somehow makes Imagine Dragons listenable. Golden State of Mind makes me think of an urban coming-of-age movie that never got made, but would have swept the oscars. Untitled End is euthanasia in music form. this whole album is a masterpiece I can't even begin to pick favorites.

Going from that intro to DragonMaidForce I think gave me physical whiplash. Then the solo was a punch in the face. Basically every other song gave me a similar feeling (especially Psychomovin' and Easy Demons). I'm gonna be sore tomorrow. I think Dirty Money had the best production to it though, or at least it was my personal favorite. In other news, "Dwayno mode" makes me think of an uwu-fied "Draino" instead of Dwayne-o, so that's cursed.
