Thank you for visiting the Choicemas "STOP THE CLOCK" Channel. I create content with hopes to inspire, motivate, educate, empower, and help others. A majority of my videos are Educational videos teaching the ins and outs of Safety and Securement, as well as the excitement of driving a 18 Wheeler Semi-Truck throughout the country. In addition, I have some inspirational, motivational commentary that I feel can help others. Recently I've opened up my page to Vlogs and Roadtrips with my wife and I that carry some humor and interest. I hope you can find videos you like, and if you do... give us a thumbs up and hit the subscribe button, as we sincerely appreciate the support and the amazing feedback we've received throughout the years. I started this channel knowing nothing at all and have come a very long way, and the journey has all been worth it. Many thanks to you all, God bless. -Choicemas

Damn Brother, thank you so much. I never would have thought about doing it that way. Thank you as always from a veteran driver but rookie flatbedder. People have been commenting on my videos and saying it looks like I've been doing it forever. It's because I follow great people that have been doing it forever. You are by far one of them....Thank you!!

Yes sir. God first everything second. I saw a load today that really stressed me out going down the highway . Single straps over simular load, no tarp , or chain securement. I am assuming it was local move but in my mind that was no accuse for the safety of people around me etc. Peace and love brother.

Luvin the flatbed art work Boss. The only thing put at least two straps on each set of coils not one strap. Baytown, tx finest tought me that lol.
@choicemas
@choicemas 4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the suggestion. If the coils weren’t touching one another I would have. Because the coils were butted up against each other, forward and backward movement is taken care of. And the 1 strap covered more than half of the went of the coils. Stay fresh brother and thanks!

I wonder if that rear section of the tarp that was folded forward billowed out when you got going fast. I might have folded the excess up and strapped a piece dunnage on the front and back. Supertrucker Dan does it that way. Regardless, I like watching your vids. I’m currently weight training to be sure I can lift that 120 lb tarp. Seems dumb that they make you do that. The real Marine Corps makes you run 15-20 miles on pavement in combat boots, so doesn’t surprise me that the flatbed Marine Corps does that.
@choicemas
@choicemas 4 жыл бұрын
No sir, it doesn’t billow out. Also, there are times I use the “tent tarp” method. Each load is different. You will NEVER see me rolling down the freeway looking like I have a parachute behind me. 😂

How longs it take for you to do chain, strap and tarp job like that? What does your company pay per tarp job?
@choicemas
@choicemas 4 жыл бұрын
Brett Polk $25 tarp on and $25 tarp off. If I’m not recording a video... tarp and strap about 30-45 minutes. And I don’t carry or have lumber tarps. Only do Steel tarping. Here we tarp maybe 2-3 out of 10 loads.
@choicemas

I'm sure it has been answered but how can you run the chain over the strap
@choicemas
@choicemas Жыл бұрын
Respectfully, the answer to your question would be to run the chain over the strap. Unless you’re asking me something else or pointing out something you don’t agree with, I’m not sure what your question truly is. Would you be kind enough to rephrase the question for me?. Thanks in advance.
@choicemas
@choicemas Жыл бұрын
If what you’re saying is what I think your saying, my response is there are no points of contact between the chain and the straps where the chain is applying pressure or “sandwiching”, or enough pressure against a strap that it will compromise the securement.
