Up before the crack of dawn challenge no 1. The cold and damp weather challenge no 2. Your luck with the weather has been a challenge in itself lately.I hope that day improved for you. Thanks for the video mind and the effort it took
@busouting20 күн бұрын
It was indeed challenging I contemplated cancelling my plans. It's been terrible for me for weeks now because I only film on weekends unless I have time off work. It was grey for most of the day until I got to Wales where I saw sunshine after two days of grey and damp weather. Thank you.

So Saturdays are your weekly day of escape then don't worry about the weather as you have no influence over it and just enjoy the trips.Today seemed nippy but dry so hope your day out today was excellent .and a word of hope the days are getting longer now so you can fit more trips in .hopefully, your coming work week flies by (Sadky it probably wont thats life)

@stephenbennett1989 I'll try not to worry about the weather. I stayed home for a rest today.

@busouting A very good decision to stay home lass just hope you didn't practice your rain dancing instead .I bet when you started this channel you did it for fun and enjoyment don't go down the route many you tube creators go by working too hard for it's success I'd rather wait for new videos longer than put you or anyone under pressure to create new content ad nauseum. Not sure if that's the right term but hey, it's only youtube.........

@stephenbennett1989 You are right I started it for fun. It's relaxing to take a bus ride I find and don't mind filming my journey/s. I will keep it that way. But the pay is tempting sometimes as the more views the more you earn.

It's great upstairs in the front of a bus in it, especially if your the only one sat there. 😊

I’ve just officially become a pensioner and received a “Bus Pass” so I intend to make this journey fairly often, especially in summer…. After years of paying petrol, tunnel fee, parking at the other end etc it will be a nice change to do it FREE !

I don't know if it's ok to say congratulations, I'm pleased for you. I hope you enjoy the free rides. I wish I could ride buses for free

I do add the names of the areas on the screen however I ride through new places I don't know all the names. Please feel free to note the names in the comments and specify the time in the video for places that I've missed and I will add them as a chapter in the description box

i used to go by express coach from woodside wirral direct to Caernarfon wales back in the early eighties near enough every week end, cant remember how much it cost,, but someone said hey you can get a normal bus all the way to Caernafon from woodside at a fraction of the cost, so i did and what a journey that was,, it stopped off at every bus stop and ended up in Rhyl for driver change, tookabout 8 hours to get to Caernafon lol,
@busouting14 күн бұрын
That's a journey if this is from Woodside near Telford. But it's nice scenery especially in the parts that I covered on my ride. Thank you for your comment

@@busoutingWoodside is in Birkenhead, near Hamilton Square Merseyrail station - I’m not sure if the Mersey Ferries still run from there, but it used to be the end of the old pre-Beeching Great Western rail route from London Paddington! Back in the 1960s and 70s Crosville used to run the F9 bus route from there once a day, Birkenhead - Chester - Mold - Ruthin - Denbigh.

What happened with that big cut from central Birkenhead to the end of rock ferry ?
@busouting17 күн бұрын
The visibility was very poor so the footage was horrible to watch so I removed it. Thank you for your comment

As a fairly recent user of buses, I think that any buses with a route as long as that, and especially any with an X prefix should take a direct route with the total journey time no longer than, say 70 minutes. No silly tours through housing estates and limited stops in the towns and village centres on the way.
@busouting13 күн бұрын
I agree about your point on estates. Thank you for your comment

Yeah, well Cheshire Oaks at around 45:00 - 48:45 is a pretty major destination in its own right, as is Chester Zoo (went past the turnoff there at 55:00 - I think this particular run wouldn’t have gone there as this would have been before the Zoos’ opening time, but the X1 usually goes there).

Yes, the bus went past the way to the Zoo at 55:00 - the route usually goes there, but I think this trip was before the Zoos’ opening time.

@@busouting Yes, I’ve just looked up the timetables - the first X1 that calls at the zoo is the 0920 Monday-Friday, 0820 on Saturday, and the last is the 1620 (1625 Saturdays). There are actually 2 routes between Liverpool and Chester, X1 and 1, and actually the X1 takes 4 minutes longer! The main difference at the Chester end is that the X1 calls at the railway station first and ends at the bus interchange, while the 1 is the other way round. tiscon-maps-stagecoachbus.s3.amazonaws.com/Timetables/Merseyside/2024/Service%20Change%20-%2021.4.24/1_X1-21Apr24.pdf

You didn't see historic Chester. The ring road blocks access. Really annoying. The train station is better catch bus outside to centre historic sites R Dee etc. Lpl to Chester only to Interchange. I can go by train from Lpl free with pensioners bus pass.

@irenejohnston6802 I didn't. I wanted to explore the town but the weather wasn't great on this day so I decided to go to Wales which you will see in the next video. Hopefully I'll explore Chester sometime.

Blimey judging an entire town off the back of a 5 minute video entering on the ring road. How moronic.
