"I would rather have a good weekend of training than a good weekend of party" thats a secret of being the best athlete
@SchachKartoffel4 ай бұрын
well for him it makes sense to train rather than to party. being a champ will get you more girls than a life of partying every weekend. :D
@ReliNueva3 ай бұрын
@@SchachKartoffel He cares even less about the "girls" - he has a goal, is strict about it and is pursuing his dream. In order to achieve this, he has understood that he must endure pain and suffering. Learn something from this philosophy and you will see how you will live your dream. Keep your head up bro.

Absolutely love this! One thing I'm wondering tho, how is he not much more lean from all this cardio. He's still quite a lot of human, this surprises me since this is not really common in this sport nor beneficial.
@marcuswills656911 ай бұрын
There is no "ideal" body type for Triathlon, he's proved that time and time again.
@tsvetomirpenev916411 ай бұрын
He does not do weights, the Norwegians found out that it works quite well for them. But if you follow the logic, doing such heavy cardio loads will start "burning" muscle which is the most metabolically active tissue in our body and will store some fat ( your body know you are trying to kill it with all that load, so it needs some spare calories for the rainy days and like that you get more fat). I have tested it myself and only biking and running I have gained 8kg for an year hahaha ( doing it a few times a week not like pros ofc). If you want to be more lean you need to work with weights.

It’s obvious that everybody is on the juice and that they found new stuff a few years ago - this explains the new records we‘re seeing in triathlon and cycling (TDF nowadays is faster than in the EPO years, Pogalien pushes more Watts/Kg than Pantani, Ulle and Lance…). Nonetheless, the performance of these guys is spectacularly and of course they’re fit as hell.

@Neight011 ай бұрын
@@winterjohannesYes, I believe he’s mentioned that he had many x-rays and tests when he was young because his chest/sternum area was growing outwards/forward, giving him this ‘thick’ or ‘abnormal’ look… but this also then provided space for unusually large heart and lungs capacity. (His lung capacity is said to be 120-150% higher than most elite athletes, that’s why he’s also mentioned it’s like almost having 3 lungs, in terms of what output advantages that gives him in training and racing. His V02max has also been tested to be in the 90s, which is why his ‘ceiling’ for upper threshold work is much much high than most athletes, and basically part of why he sprinted to win the Olympics from 1km out, because he knew, almost with certainty, that Yee and Wilde were not capable physiologically to go into that upper threshold for that long, even though their final burst/sprint is faster. That’s also why the tactics for Paris Olympics will be very different, because everyone now knows that the race has to extremely fast to drop KB before that final 2-3km on the run, otherwise, I would almost guarantee KB will win. I think he will win anyway, because I suspect he’ll be able to push the bike/run so hard… harder than anyone can imagine at the moment!). Absolute beast 💪🏼🙌🏼
