You're supposed to wait till the onion tops fall over. They can still contribute to the ring growth. I planted pac choi. 30-40 days. Turnips are quick too.

Excellent! My pac choi that I planted after I hauled up the onions is looking great. I put in some Hakurei turnip as well, also 30/40 days. Most of the onions had fallen over, roughly 70% but I took them all up to have it all done at once.

@@MyHeathenPath. That's the formula I use. I plant some Burpee Silky Sweet turnips. I can't stand radishes - too F'n hot. But all quickies to get something new and harvested yet.
