Thank you so much for this video. I've grown tomatoes for 65 years some of the best in the county. I will definitely use your method on my next crop. I tend to like a lot of the heirloom tomatoes, they tend to grow tall, and have large heavy fruits. This is definitely the best method for staking tomatoes that I've ever seen. The aloe makes perfect sense and I have several of them growing in my greenhouse. Can't wait till spring. Thank you

I REALLY REALLY appreciate the time you took to share this with us! I am going to try to do this method with my Bells of Ireland flowers. After 5 seasons of trying to get these notoriously hard to germinate flowers to get started, with this method you just showed, I may just have a fighting chance to get them to grow! During WW" we used a similar system in raised beds on stagings three feet clear of the floor at either side of a large greenhouse and trained up just under the glass to the ridge. We could walk between the two stagings to work on them and produced excellent fruit at 46 degrees North.

@@kitukimoja8114 They were very small cherry tomatoes and they used to have 1 each per day. These days they share a cucumber at 8pm a banana for breakfast and some carrots. Their main meal is raw meat with offal. They love it. People shouldn't eat wheat but it's hard to find someone who doesn't.

Dogs can eat tomatoes but only in small amounts. Ripe tomatoes are considered nontoxic to dogs and can be fed in moderation as an occasional snack.

... aloe dog dookie, both effective and since I have 2 dogs 🐕🐕💩💩 😉 I live in Sonoran desert Buckeye AZ 🌵 I have been building up my landscaping current house last few years, planted aloe next to the pool 👙 ☀️ it can get 119° summertime I planted it for sunburn relief plus they grow like crazy here. I've built 6 - 4x4' garden by the square plots also next to the pool.i have 3 kinds of grapes 🍇 will be growing on 6' wire fencing I'm adding to back southern facing wall of property the raised beds are about 30" tall. Cucumber, squash, some larger melons all need trellis to grow on for effective vertical growth I like the arch design I'm thinking I can do cubes just as easy in the beds w that wire back wall should kick some 🍑 production wise and now the aloe planted 2 years ago starting to spread and become abundant will be employing it for all seed production wow 🤯 mind blown I've been getting a lot of rain will be getting boxes planted soon I'm excited to do so added an Asian pear, pink grapefruit, Mexican lemon and lime tree 2 years ago might get fruit this year they were all sapling or yearlings 🤠🌵☀️🍇☀️🍑 native cactus/succulent/grasses here w basic drip systems also grow very fast here there were 4 trees/shrubs in front yard of 8 years old house HOA min I believe when I bought the house June 2021 person that lived here didn't do boo Diddley squat with the place no added plants 🤷🏻♂️

Incredible technique. Lots of steps but obviously worth the outcome of a great crop. No one has mentioned the obvious quality of the soil though as this has a huge impact on growing tomato's. It looked full of organics and looked to be holding lots of moisture to. I'd love to have your soil ratios for my garden. 👌👌👌

I hate getting down on my knees and wading through all the vines. I'm allergic, so digging through them always makes me itch like crazy. Cover with clear plastic in early spring, then open just the ends during warm spring days. Close ends for frosty nights! Put in a cucumber plant to! PVC pipes for the arched ribs.

I like the trellis idea and will give that a go. However, putting a single seed in a pot is risky by itself and it takes 15 days to just germinate to a seedling. Those were big, healthy starters that had to be close to 2 months old at least.

You don't really have to wait until they turn red. They can be harvested when they start to turn a bit yellow at the tip. Keep them in a cold, dark and dry place. They will get ripen in time without affecting the taste. In this way you are stimulating the plant to produce more fruits. Also I understand, for better looking in the video, you left them.

It's so hot where we live that growing large tomatoes is virtually impossible. We can only grow cherry and grape tomatoes because the big ones split and roast even with a sail cover. It used to not be so hot but the past few years feels like the surface of the sun in the summer. Hopefully someday I can afford a greenhouse and I can try your wonderful ideas.

A continuously moist soil will reduce splitting. Maybe water at night and then midday. I think you can wrap the big ones in foil, shiny side out before they burn.

A couple of things I do a little differently. First I strike the seeds in a small pot as some wont strike. I then transplant them into pot. 2nd I use a little woodash to fertilize plus I soak cow manure in water. Then after 1 week I remove the liquid as required to fertilize. Then keep the best tomatoes to use the seeds for next time. Good job.

Very smart, he did a great job. New ways, not always relying on old ideas and just trying it. Nicely done, he got a big crop out of this. What I like best is when minimal money resources are spent with a fantastic outcome.

What is the aloe vera for? Is it mostly to keep the seeds moist for germination? Because that actually seems like a great idea for germinating seeds in general
