You actually are helping others with the grief process as you are showing it takes time and there will be highs and lows and a feeling of guilt when the highs hit! However, it does get easier and the percentage of time you think about it reduces and eventually you will simply carry him in your heart to give you strength! 💕💕💕

I'm actually so shocked that people are asking you for a video on grief! It boggles my mind that people expect that from you, especially so soon. I lost my mum 2 years ago and I still have days when the the greif is crippling. You are doing amazing Gemma! When people say time is a healer I really do believe that. There's no time frame on greif. Im sending you all my love and positive energy 🥰

Gemma losing my Mom in 2010 crippled me. She was my best friend my confidant my heart. Grief is very individual. We are blessed with shock to get us thru those early days. Time is the only thing that makes loss bearable. For me the 3yr mark was when my heart was truly filled with more loving memories than tears. Do you and please always feel free to speak about him, good days and bad days. That's why we love you.

Grief is so hard to deal with let alone talk to other people about. I lost my mum five years ago and it still feels like it was yesterday. Everyone deals with it in a different way and everyone should do what feels right for them. You had you dear dad for so long, so of course the pain is going to last, I don’t think there is a quick fix. Take time to find your way through this and know that we are here for you and please don’t put pressure on yourself with your brand. I also believe that things happen for a reason and maybe the delay was because you’ve got enough going on right now and next year you’ll be able to take this exciting new project on and give it your all. Much love beautiful girl xx

I lost my Mum Feb last year rather suddenly and my Dad in Dec last year. My Mum was the hardest of the two, and at first it was a relief and a year on it gets harder. Silly things set you off and even down to smells and walking round a shop. It was the best thing for her as she didnt know she had the first stages of lung cancer. My Dad died of lung cancer and he went thru 7 months of painkillers and it was so hard to see him slip away. I will get less painful but they are always with you that helps me.

Gemma, I completely relate to what you are saying. I lost someone to cancer at the same time as you and I felt the same way when you said that you were looking forward to the next chapter in your life and felt relieved that your dad was no longer fading away but I now empathise with your bad days. Take each day as it comes but I hope you find comfort in knowing that you are doing great and that all these feelings are completely normal. I wouldn’t worry about feeling that you are depressing people. For people like me who are going through the same thing it helps to know that these waves of emotion are normal and for those who are not going through it we all want to support you and understand that chatting with us helps you and us. Take care x .

Wow Gemma. I’m a fairly new subscriber and I watch your videos to escape from the thoughts of my mum passing away a couple of months ago. I watch you thinking what a perfect and happy life you have, wishing I could swap and have your carefree mindset. I had no idea you’ve lost your Dad. I feel like I can connect with you so much and I hope that things are a little easier to bare now that a few months have passed since you made this video. Things are still very raw for me and I’m hoping that it gets better in time 💙

Gemma, I just love you! You are just SO real and that comes through in every video. I think you don't feel that you are able to help those going through and dealing with grief, but you do that very thing every👏single👏day👏, just by being you, by being honest and telling us that you're NOT dealing with your Dad's passing very well (which takes a HUGE amount of bravery to put out on KZbin!) and in doing all of this, you show us all that even when you DON'T feel like you're dealing very well you can STILL smile, still laugh, and most importantly still LIVE while learning HOW to live your life that is now missing a very important person in it. You help each of us everyday and the fact that you don't think you do, just endears you more to my heart. You are a breath of spring time air, a cool autumn breeze and a cozy fire in winter and my dear, it seems to come so natural to you. THANK YOU FOR BEING YOU EVERYDAY, AND FOR ALWAYS BEING GENUINE! #genuineGEMMA

Thank you for just being you! It’s ok to be sad or happy. Everyone grieves in their own way. You don’t ever need to apologize for having feelings. I lost my mom aka best friend in February. I’m still struggling. I know one day it will get easier but for now it’s not and that’s ok. I still have good days when I can laugh about things we did. Grieving over someone is a private thing we internalize. I only share with people who are close to me and others can share with whom ever. Everyone is different. There is no proper or wrong way to grieve. I’m be just does what they need to do to get through and keep moving forward. Sending lots of love and a huge hug!! I love that your videoes are always so cozy, and I'm always watching while applying my make-up:) About your grief, I think it's more than understandable that you're not ready to talk about that stuff right away, which we totally understand! It's completly fine! I don't think you give any depressed feeling towards us by talking about it, it only makes more human. Everyone can not expect or me happy go lucky 24 hours a day, it's okay to be sad or angry and show emotions as much as you feel like it. Anyways, love you and this video!

I understand fully how you feel, as the years pass you will find that you will start to deal with it better. This year will be difficult cause of Christmas etc. but it’s natural, you will know when to talk about it, just listen to your body. I think the thing that is strange is that so many people say time heals but actually it just means it’s the longest time I haven’t seen him for! Take each day for what it is! From someone that has lost both of my parents , time does make it easier to deal with. The first year is the hardest. Losing a parent makes you think of your own mortality. Yours parents, if youre lucky ,should be the two people in your life that you know for sure love you unconditionly. No matter how many people are around you and say they love you it is not the same. I also know from experience that your dad is still around you - talk to him, ask him for help to get through this difficult time and then watch for the signs he is there .

It’s still early days for you, losing your parent is so hard, believe me you will be able to go on life will never be the same because that special someone is missing. It’s normal to have good and bad days, allow both to happen. We all love you and totally understand ❤️💞

Don't know if you have the Hallmark Channel over there, but they do their countdown to Christmas every year, usually starting about a week before Halloween. I LOVE their Christmas movies! This summer, they showed them for a month due to everyone being stuck at home and it was so nice!

Love all your vlogs so much! I have been watching you from the very beginning. I have started using all body shop products and my skin is amazing from them. I would love for you to do a haul then try and review these in a vlog or have a pamper night using their products xx
