Kyle truly if you think Cabana Bay is the “cheap” hotel maybe it’s time to take a break from Disney. I will say even from watching this video Cabana Bay is beautiful and more accommodating and has more for their guests experience and stay than Disney offers any of their guests in any of their hotels, value to deluxe.

@@nancymccombs3775 yup our last Universal trip we booked our hotel at Dockside and got an amazing vacation package. And omg I loved dockside. The rooms was beautiful. The hotel itself was super clean and easy to navigate. The cafeteria food prices were affordable. And our kids had the best time ever. We had done a Pop Century Disney vacation the year prior and for the price we paid for the hotel and park tickets it was not worth it.

I love your videos but wish you would have researched Cabana Bay before you filmed. I was frustrated at the incorrect information you were giving. It costs to park for hotel guests. There are suites in both areas of the hotel. The main difference is exterior or interior entrance.

I loved seeing Cabana Bay but wasn’t a fan of all the wrong information given. We stay here the most because we get a really good military discount but besides that I love how walkable it is to the parks and volcano bay (not a huge fan of transit with all the people), love all the amenities and the food court is really good. I’d stay here over the affordable Disney hotels because I feel like it has more to offer for pretty much the same price. Even if you don’t like universal you shouldn’t compare it to Disney, they are completely different vibes.

I stay at cabana Bay every time I go Universal Island adventure it’s a great hotel. The accommodations are amazing. The rooms are very comfortable and the bus service is very easy to use.

Parking for guests is NOT free! Cabana Bay is a great resort. I’m a Disney fan, but also enjoy Universal. It seems like you’re really a snob in this video because it isn’t a Disney resort. I think you’re misleading people with the ‘free’ parking. The side you think is older has a lot of family suites. I really wished you had done some research.

A lot of incorrect info in this video so hopefully no one watches and plans their vaca due to info you’re giving. Parking definitely isn’t free and there isn’t a lower end area. They just offer a bunch of room options when booking. Cabana bay is my husbands and I favorite universal resort. We have stayed at all of them and we love all the things it offers. We go bowling every time we stay and it’s always such a fun vacation! But you have to go right away when it opens( I think 4pm) to book a spot or else you will never get in.

We’ve stayed at most the Disney resorts but the last 3 years have been at Universal resorts, both Royal Pacific and Cabana Bay. We can’t say enough good things about Cabana Bay…absolutely loved it and brought family with us this year! Surely a new favorite :)

Cabana Bay is awesome, I've stayed a few times but my husband and I love Aventura! It's in the same price bracket as Cabana Bay but it's a little smaller and has a more modern feel. The roof top bar is amazing and the food options are good. Also, you are almost always guranteed a cool room view! I suggest requesting a higher floor with a park view. They can't always do it but when they can it's so nice! There's also normally not as many families with youg kids so great for couples :)

I worked at universal Cabana bay for over a year as a front desk agent. For one this is not the cheapest hotel on property. -Surfside and endless summer are cheeper. -This is considered a high value hotel -There is a parking charge for hotel guests. - There is over 2200 rooms at cabana and it’s the largest hotel. -There’s also cheep rooms in the towers (standards). There is also suits and pool view rooms in towers that are more pricy. - The shake place was opened right before I left Cabana. Around 1.5 years old. - There is no cheap side… There are suits throughout the resort. There are suits that face the pool and ones inside of the building. The ones inside are actually pricer than the ones in the courtyard. - There is tower 2 bedroom suits in the towers (small number available). -You can walk to volcano bay from the hotel. Huge perk! Rooms available -A Standard no view Standard with a view Standard volcano view courtyard suite (no pool view) Courtyard suite with a pool view Inside suits (no view) Inside suite with Pool view 2 bedroom suite (only get the higher up ones. Lower one’s views are not that great.

If you said dockside was cheap I'd say yeah for universal it is, but Cabana Bay definitely isn't cheap. We stayed there for a week in 2019 and it's an amazing place to stay!

You’re telling me that you spent an ENTIRE day, and video, trying to get the curtains right. You even made a photoshop version and they STILL aren’t the way you wanted. The folding at bottom is nice but remember real life isn’t like a magazine. Sweeping and mopping around them, plus the puppy you two talk about…. You’ll be begging Universal to invite you on and this snubbish video is not helping you. Disney is good and the majority of us that watch disney videos is for nostalgic reasons at least for me. I will go back to disney 2025 but for 2 dsys and rest Universal. My advice is do your homework/research when providing resort information. At this time i don’t take any your advice. Cabana bay is one of universal Moderate Hotels. It’s not cheap and it’s not overly expensive either. And even Universals “cheap” and “moderate” hotels are above and beyond anything Disney is offering. I will pick Dockside over Pop Century any day of the week.

Cabana bay wasn’t great. I stayed a couple years ago. Huge line to check in. Huge line to get coffee. Our room was a long walk to pools and lobby. The room setup wasn’t good. Small rooms and The shower didn’t have a door.

I was loyal to Disney (visited almost every year since 1978) until 2020 when Disney “let go” 500 Imagineers…(one was my son, a 20 year employee and former member of the college program) and his wife (working almost 10 years as an engineer and also a member of the college program). My son now works for Universal on Epic Universe project. I’m No longer a Disney loyal…it’s really not the Disney it was in the 70s, 80s and 90s.😢

Personally I am so excited for Epic Universe solely because Disney pretty much handed Universal the most talented Theme Park Creators and universal actually appreciates and lets their creators do what they do best which is create and develop new rides and rides technology. What epic universe is about to bring to the theme park industry is gonna be beautiful and perfectly immersive. So thank you to your son for helping create that and Disney epic universe is what your imagineers could be creating for you if you just gave them your trust and a workable budget.

I’ve tried to like the universal resorts but I never enjoy my time too much. I always go during horror nights but something is always missing I don’t know what. I’ve done aventura, sapphire falls and surfside. I think it might be the locations and how close they are to each other and to the highway. It gives that basic hotel feel. Surfside in particular seemed a little sketchy at night when crossing from one side to the other and a woman told me her car and a few others were broken into earlier in the week. Can’t complain about the prices though.

Kyle, I am just looking at the vlog. You said you stayed there about 2 years ago but you’re exploring the Hotel as something new, I confused on that. I would not call the Hotel cheap but affordable like others have mentioned. I stayed there and really enjoyed it. I love Disney as well but I also enjoy Universal and think that their Resorts offer better amenities at their value and moderate resorts than Disney. Cabana Bay also has a wave pool which is nice.
