A Choppy Sea Day and Exploring Pisa & Florence, Italy - Marella Explorer 2 Cruise

That definitely looked like a choppy day. I love your cardigan on pisa day. The tower definitely looks like it is leaning more than 4 degrees. What a shame about the rain. We always find excursions from the cruises are quite expensive for what they are. We have never really had any sea sickness. Hopefully your next one isn’t as rocky. Xx

Yeah we tried to make the most of things despite the rain and choppy seas. We've recently disembarked Iona though which thankfully was very smooth! Yeah we do try to avoid cruise line excursions, glad we did a DIY trip. Thanks for watching 🥰

Shame about the sea sickness. It did look a bit rough. Pleased you enjoyed the show and felt better later. Your trip out looked great, busy but very beautiful buildings. The pizza looked amazing and that sandwich was huge. Lovely ice cream. Sorry you had some rain. Probably the best thing with sickness is to sleep. Shame about the bumpy ride on sea day and the weather in Florence ... that is the only downside of cruising you can't control the weather. Don't know if you did notice but on the leaning tower at Pisa the upper floors were built taller on one side of the tower than the other to try and counter the lean. If you do go back to Florence it is good to go up the Bell tower next to the Duomo as you get to look down on the Cathedral and definitely have to go across the Ponte Vecchio to the Boboli gardens, but ... if you are ever in Livorno again you should take a look around there as well as it is a beautiful town (it has canals, two forts and a couple impressive piazzas as well as the best street food in the region).

Ah we didn't notice that about the leaning tower! That's really interesting. Yeah it's a shame it was pouring as much as it was as it would have been nice to explore Livorno as well. Thanks for watching 🙂
