A Christian Stone Mason's Look At The Cornerstone - Michael Keith

There are wonderful references to Christ being our "Cornerstone" in the Bible. The only problem is, how many of us have a good understanding of a cornerstone? So here is an interview with Michael Keith, an experienced stone mason, who can offer some clarity about what is the meaning and value of the cornerstone.

yes the plumbline , I remember handing out Bible tracts in the Philippines with my Auntie. indeed a measuring tool of that was used for masonry and at the same times for God's righteousness.

What he's not telling you is, they pushed the corner stone into a valley. When the temple was ready to be built they couldn't find it. After an investigation they realized that they now had to lift it up out of the valley. That's where the rejection part comes from. When Jesus said that,it was the highest insult.

Thank you brother... Have you ever heard the word "just" used in stone buiding? I understand that in our Christian application "just" means "right" or "innocent". And I liked that you used the word "true" which I have heard of as a construction term. I'm now 67 years old but it seems that when I was a youth that I heard the word "just" used around builders. I'm wondering if "just" was used back in the day as another word for plumb which you noted is used for the vertical exactness of the cornerstone.

In the book of Revelation chapter 21 is a description of the new Jerusalem. Note there are 12 gates three on each side representing the 12 tribes. These 12 tribes wrote the old testaent and rest upon 12 foundations. These 12 foundations are the apostles. And I believe that each one of these foundations is founded on the cornerstone Jesus. Jesus came and explained that the kingdom of God is within us. Thank you for taking the time to explain the cornerstone. No. Sadly this guy has it wrong. He is sweet and genuine, but still wrong. A cornerstone is *NOT* the same as a *CHIEF CORNERSTONE* In loving kindness, if you ”dare”, look up the truth of the chief cornerstone in Jordan Maxwell’s ”The Chief Cornerstone” on youtube.
