❤ Lovely old book. I had an old Halloween book with really nice pictures but I think have away when I was panicking about getting evicted by owners wanting more rent. Now that close to Halloween and in a new place can't believe I would have gotten rid of such a small vintage item.

Its a great shame the fire in the great hall isn't real. I miss the days when they had a proper log fire going 😫 the village is looking beautifully festive. Must go and have a walk round at night and enjoy the lights

I agree. I have fond memories of sitting in that great hall at Christmas years back when they used to do performances there. Dickens, A Christmas Carol and the smell of wood smoke. It's just not quite the same anymore. You can't beat an open fire. Enjoy your night walk. :)

So, so beautiful Karen! Your hare turned out wonderfully and I’m so glad you are keeping it for your family to enjoy! I also loved seeing your festive treasures on your wall (love the brick and beams, and then once you were showing the street view I had an even greater sense of what a lovely spot you’re in!). The Victorian book was so lovely and that font! Illuminated, illustrated - everything about it so intricate and thank god you found it before it fell into even further disrepair! I enjoyed every second of this; the buildings and doors with their wreathes, the cream tea sign, the crows, the twilight, the wintry branches against the rooftops, the moon and clouds above the carolling - I could practically smell sherry and chestnuts! You have no idea what a treat this was for me and I am so thankful for you ❤. The book was a lucky find wasn't it... I'm glad that you noticed the illumination too, as it was hard to capture that on the video. I was only filming with my phone and it's not always good at picking up on the colours. It's a lovely part of the world here and especially at Christmas time.
