Its vintage. Runs like a champ though, the new owner loves it.

Thanks Mike. Simple enough job, and much less expensive to just replace the bad bearings...

The muffler is a little loud, but it does still run perfectly for the new owner!

Nice, what seems to look like a compact machine. For some reason it seems to be a bit smaller than most of the ones I see you working on but I like it. Sounds like a metal hood when you open it instead of plastic and also looks easier to work on. Of course that's easy for me to say because you're doing all the work. Anyway, thanks for sharing the knowledge.

Hey Len. This is definitely a little smaller machine. Still gets the job done though. I cut an acre of grass for MANY years with a 12hp/38" Craftsman rider.

Not really much going on in West Texas, no rain in over 2 months Every thing is dead unless you have a 350 bucks in water bill lolol

Been enough rain here this season to keep the grass green and growing.

Just did all 3 belts on the exact machine except mine was a yard machines, let's hope it's the new updated belt system, cause the older one is a pain in the butt, to replace the 2 drive belts.

I'm pretty sure this one was the double belt system with the sliding pulley in the middle.

Great job. Certain rpm or by ear. You said flat head run different than OHV. Curious what you are referring to. Thanks and take care.

They all have their specified max rpm. Usually around 3600. I generally use a tach to check it

Don, you said you really liked that dewalt impact and that it got most of the heavier jobs done on small engines. I’ve been looking around at different ones for this exact purpose. Not too large or heavy but strong enough for what I think I’ll need. What model is it?
@randomwrenching
@randomwrenching Жыл бұрын
I don't have the model number handy, but it's a 20v 3/8 drive. I have a big old MAC Tools 1/2" drive air impact gun for the really stubborn stuff.
