I spent the first 40 years of my life in these types of churches. These churches depend on people staying biblically illiterate. The Pentecostal sermons use the Bible but are just a lot of shouting and buzzwords. The charismatic sermons are stories with no point except something supernatural with absolutely no biblical teaching.

I spent the first 40 years of my life in these types of churches. The “slain in the spirit” thing gets me. Every single person that I saw go down always stayed stiff enough to fall backwards like a tree. If God were to really strike you to the ground you wouldn’t gently fall backwards as in slow motion. You’d buckle straight to the ground. Yes, it’s power of suggestion, peer pressure to appear like others, sometimes the preacher would push you back until you lost your balance and then you’d feel awkward popping right back up so you’d stay down for a minute. And as a few people have told me before, they’d feel the preacher really pushing a person backwards with hand on forehead so they’d give them a “courtesy fall.” These people that’d fall like that thought it was perfectly ok to drop backwards to appease the preacher. I believed a lot of the other silliness of the pente/charis churches but was always suspect of being “slain in the spirit.” A few times I had preachers put extra force on my forehead and I resisted.

I agree that David is being deceptive and I was first introduced to him about 2 years ago and there was a check in my spirit about him so I scrolled right past his videos. Furthermore I have seen people “slain” in the spirit but they have ALWAYS fell to their knees without anyone touching them and most times that particular person was the only one in the service that was “slain”. I’ve seen it different times with different people at church sporadically not every service. Again one maybe two people it happens to. But what is being shown in this particular video is deception and heresy. He reminds me of Binny Hinn or I should say the spirit that dwells in him is the same as the one that dwells in Binny Hinn. They want the money!

I have many reasons for being angered by these types of blasphemous teachers....but a very big one is how it can make young (and by young I'm speaking of their walk with the Lord not necessarily age...I was 47 when I heard the Holy Spirit call me to wake up) Christians stumble thinking that they don't have enough Faith to heal people or just aren't "good" enough Christians if they don't have these experiences. UNDERRATED CHANNEL!! I appreciate your work so much! When you disagree you use scripture and receipts, you allow space for honest communication and you don't let your pride and ego be pulled into the ridiculous drama that keeps (shamefully and pathetically) breaking out in "Christian" tube. Your calm without being condescending or superior about it in these situations is refreshing. I went from following so many channels just wanting to hear Christian love and see people coming together to a few years later and the danger is apparent and everywhere in the sneakiest and many times oblivious ways. I'm down to about four channels that I check in with and only two that I feel safe and open-hearted when I want to hear and learn and commune in the comments. Thank you for your work. It really is so important. The more I grow, the more I realize. And I'm sure that's true for many others.

I know from experience that some Pastors will push you down. I had an encounter with a Pastor and he was pushing my head but I stiffened my neck and changed my standing position. You seem to oppose those who believe in the supernatural and manifest the power of God. But remember, Jesus said in John 14:12 that we will do even greater works than He did. A wise Christian life shouldn't rely solely on worldly knowledge but must also embrace the supernatural wisdom found in God's Word. When I watch your videos, I sometimes feel encouraged to judge certain preachers. However, when I hear the message preached by some of those same pastors you criticize, I witness the goodness of God and see reasons to follow Christ. Yes, they may have their shortcomings, but I am confident they are leading people toward Christ, not judgment. Most of us who are fixated on judging preachers are battling sin ourselves. Let's shift our focus. Let's speak about God's goodness and His power to strengthen us in our walk of faith. The Bible even tells us that Jesus' miracles couldn’t be fully recorded (John 21:25). You cannot confine God or limit your understanding of His power-He is omnipotent. I pray that this channel will focus on teaching God's Word in a way that leads people to be Christlike. That’s what's most important.

The “greater works” Jesus spoke of was the promise the disciples would continue His ministry in a larger capacity. Jesus’ earthly ministry was limited to Galilee and Judea; reaching hundreds. However, after Christ’ ascension, His disciples, empowered by the Holy Spirit, reached thousands. By the end of the Book of Acts, the gospel had made its way to Rome. The kingdom of God spread to more people and places than Jesus ever did in His earthly ministry. That’s what John 14:12 means. In any event, this is not about confining God. This is about exposing deceptive and unbiblical practices that are under the guise of being godly and of the Holy Spirit. We are told to test everything (1 The 5:20-21) and to judge righteously (Jhn 7:24) because sadly, there are many “preachers” claiming to represent God who are actually presenting fallacies, leading people away from Christ. Let's make sure we exegete God's Word correctly while exercising discernment.

The move of God is not a performance nor an emotional encounter. It is a life changing transformation as we mature in faith and draw closer to Him. We are one Spirit with Him. Through Christ, we walk with God daily. His nature over time is reflected in our character. The Holy Spirit is not some manifestation that descends upon us. Then ascends back into heaven. He is sealed within us as our guaranteed inheritance. The source of all power and spiritual gifts. Equipping us for every good work. Ppl need to stop being led emotions and start living the scriptures by faith. So they are not so easily deceived by what they see, feel or hear. For those who don't know, we already have the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. He is our gift from God. Given to us by Jesus Christ at salvation. Without Him, no one is born again and able to enter the kingdom of God (John 3:5).
