I love that u make videos on a lot of different rocket company's and are not just a space-x shill.

It’s hard for me to wrap my brain around printing rockets. This could be a solution to building rockets in the future

Not to mention on Mars with local resources! Isn't Mars red because of like iron or something? And stainless steel is like 70 or 90% iron

Could Terran R, take dreamchaser to orbit? Thanks for the update.

What is Terran vehicles payload max? That will tell u if it can or not....

I think it could fit inside a Terran R cargo hold with its wings folded, and Terran R can handle the weight. Not sure how it would be deployed, though. But seeing as the Terran R second stage is a reusable orbiter, it would be odd to use it to take up a Dream Chaser -- like launching Dream Chaser with Starship.

@christopherandrewcar I did not think of that, it is a good point. However, it could be used to save Relativity Space having to develop its own human-rated craft.

It would be a good idea, I think it's possible with some changes (nothing too crazy by industry standards). Although if Dream Chaser does carry humans in the future, Terran R will also need to be qualified by NASA and FAA for that purpose.

Good update on Terran R, thanks.

Is 3d printing always better? The nosecone and bulkheads are complex shape so here it is better. But for the straight parts simply roll a sheet of metal like Spacex and weld it together maybe just as efficient.

Huh? _Terran R_ ? You might be thinking of a different vehicle -- like maybe Blue Origin's _New Glenn_ ?
@patricklewis7636 Жыл бұрын
I don't think they have done that. They generally promise little and just announce completed milestones.
@paulcarter7445 Жыл бұрын
I think you're referring to Terran 1. Terran R is still under development. Those constant delays in the Terran 1 launch are a bit worrying, they've been promising a launch 'next month' since September. What has been going wrong ? I think they ought to at least attempt a Terran 1 launch before committing the Terran R design to production.

@@paulcarter7445 - They _could_ be waiting for a launch license from the FAA.

@@cacogenicist If they were simply waiting for a license from the FAA , I think they would gladly state it - it would annul any fears around problems with their tech.
