I feel for the first crew. They could get pulled through a wormhole and then get shot out into a distant part of space and meet a living ship full of strange creatures. Wait I want to be on that ship!

The answer now is "YES", they can. Nineteen or more BE-4s; at least 8 for Vulcan, 7 for New Glenn, plus several qualification engines for New Glenn.

No surprise. It was a dumb idea, and not even a new one. It puts tremendous strain on the boosters it launches. Is kind of stuck launching to a vector. Also it’s a really complex and expensive way to save first stage fuel. It’s like cannon launch etc. sounds cool. Isn’t.

Could this be ReCirculated Mercury ( not recycled)? To reach Mercury, like " back in 64"?! The old Mass Flow Shower Sprayer Nozzle, oil pumped back UP from the Lower Pan ?!

Sounds like the Titan. A bunch of stupid people trying to do the impossible. Anyone could have done the initial engineering math and known it would not work. But instead, lots of money got spent on a pipe dream. How they managed to pull this off, I have no idea. I really hope they find some use for it. The principal is not bad. Technology has now been developed that can volley an object high and far without needing a massive initial energy output. The energy is spread over time as the thing winds up. It could be used for many things. You have something ejected at tremendous speed and power. You could flatten something into the ground or break up rocks on a mountain as well as making something fly high.

This can't work. After being released, the rocket rotates around its transverse axis at the same speed as the arm to which it was attached! This means that the rocket is immediately perpendicular to the air flow after being released. You can also see this in the small experiment that has already been done.

Why not launch i from underwater? Sure, the density of water is even more intense than the density f air at sea level but that is just a further engineering problem to spin it faster and have it tolerate 20,000 gees instead of 10,000 gees at launch. Just a bit more engineering is needed. Otherwise, the concept is brilliant except for those pesky kids with their dog and physics.
