Great presentation. Perfect blend of talking and playing. Musicianship was stellar. Knowledge of the guitar’s specs was apparent and well articulated. Demonstration and explanation of the different pickup configurations via the 5 position blade switch was the best I have seen and more importantly, heard. Reminds me of the Music Man Sabre. Have you compared the two?
@PeachGuitars3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the kind words, David! We haven't had a Sabre in stock yet, but when we do, we'll certainly try and include the two in a video!

The Wilkinson bridge on this guitar will retrofit a guitar previously fitted with a Gotoh 510, or you can buy the locking saddles and put them on an existing 510.
@NicolasLaucirica3 жыл бұрын
is that an statement or question? because that would really be good news
@Stratamania2 жыл бұрын
@@NicolasLaucirica It is a clear and accurate statement.

Fantastic review, tyvm. One correction: frets are Jumbo (.057″x.110″), NOT medium Jumbo as stated in the review.

I am looking at this guitar and the PRS DGT. Which do you think is the most versatile for an 80s cover band?

Interesting how this sounds so very different to when Pete plays it. Not bad, just different.

What specifically stands out to you? To me… Room + mic(s) + speakers + amp + hands… so many variables. You may be referring to something more refined than I am, but it’s always funny to me how I’ll sound different than someone else playing the same everything in the same place.

I subscribe to this channel, but this video hasn’t appeared in my feed, I wonder why that is? What else have I missed?! I just stumbled across it in the “Recommended” section. Anyway, awesome tones as usual, and I have a Suhr Standard Pete Thorn exactly like that one that I bought from Peach a couple of years back 😃

I have one of these (see my profile photo!) that I bought from Peach. Had it a couple of years now, and the only thing I’d change on it would be to put a Floyd trem on there, but that’s just personal preference and because I’m used to having them on my other guitars - the trem that’s on there is still very good. Also maybe swap the wiring round on the pickup selector for the 2 neck positions - always feels a bit strange trying to find position 2 for the humbucker setting.

hello sir I'd like to ask if is this guitar able to get vintage sounds ? for example for a simple blues gigg will it be too much as volume and sound ?
@guitardave3 жыл бұрын
@@huussI’d say it can do pretty much anything! The pickups aren’t too hot, so a blues gig should sound brilliant with the neck pickup (which can also be split to sound like a single coil).
@huuss3 жыл бұрын
@@guitardave thanks for the anwer sir what about bridge pickup it is a bit hotter I guess but i can be split also ? 🎻😊
@guitardave3 жыл бұрын
@@huuss It’s medium output I’d say. It can’t be split, but it can be switched from series to parallel so it sounds like a single coil. (using the push / pull tone control)

Great sounds. I wish Pete Townsends guitar tech would put this guitar into Pete's hands. Far more beef than the Strat's he uses these days. It might go some way to addressing the return of the Les Paul sound whilst keeping a nice wirey Strat option and offering a lighter load. (I felt a Thownsend suggestion from the chords at times).

Love that guitar, but wish he would have found a better place for the pup selector. It's why I don't own a strat. My hand is always bumping the dern thing out of position.
@BeefNEggs0574 жыл бұрын
You get used to that when you play one. I had that problem early in my strat days (don’t think those days will ever end).

do you notice a significant drop in volume when coil tapping? especially in the neck position? I notice it much more than any other coil splitting guitar I have
@CBGypsy038 ай бұрын
Yes it's very noticeable.... I don't like it but have gotten over it. The guitar plays so well.

Aren’t there Jumbo frets? Rather than medium Jumbo
@gregs8685 Жыл бұрын
I want to like this model but the skinny shredder neck profile (similar to a Charvel or Ibanez), stainless frets, jumbo frets, and polyurethane finish ruin it.

You do get what you pay for, an excellent built versatile instrument. Other guitars like PRS 10 tops can go for $1000-2000 more so I say it is priced fairly for the craftsmanship and tech you get.
