Another great video, it's quite interesting that the regular brown rats we see are all dead. Perhaps the rats feel the same way about them as the Harvesters do to their human counterparts. The Harvester toxin in the crater is probably not contaminated in a way that would cause the differences, but rather its more likely a combination of a few things that are supported by in-game evidence in both the Bunker and Rebirth: Lambert has killed 30+ people in three days while his each one of his ancient brethren in the desert are probably lucky to get a taste of human flesh in a year and he's been damaged excessively by the soldiers (which we know furthers the transformation, perhaps the excessive damage caused him to over-regenerate). And there are some other, less-evidence based possibilities, such as the water being a modified version, perhaps a toxin that created Harvesters unsuitable for Vitae production but rather for warfare and gladiatorial sports (which we know took place in the arena near the bunker.)

Very plausible, at one point I intent to cover the subterrainian Roman Bathhouse in which the Ghouls dwell and I can say as much already that the game implies that Ghouls or Harvesters do age in a way, or at least become enfeebled with time as such the Ghouls that will lay on the ground and reach out to Tasi when she sneaks by don´t do that in their sleep as I originally assumed but simply are not able to move anymore, as they were probably not able to gain enough nourishment and or Vitae though I believe the Vitae it´self is more important to them then the Flesh, as Lambert does rarely if at all devour anything, the Rats do, but he merely snaps his victims necks or bashes their heads in, he does not even eat the Prisoner when he does finally get access to him

@@umukzusgelos4834 The ones in the Ghouls nest are probably just sleeping, as they can wake up and chase her at the end just fine, they clearly don't need to eat and drink normally anymore, and its unlikely they actually would be "designed" to need Vitae at all, given that the Otherworlders drained them continuously. But we can probably extrapolate from Tasi's fever dreams that they are having nightmares from how they spasm. The reason they don't immediately jump her is probably because they can sense she is one of them and they are unable to tell she's still in the transformation stage whilst asleep. As for Lambert, I'm personally under the impression he is just too damaged to "want" to torture. Even psychopaths have toothaches after all, and from the wounds he has, I'd guess he is in constant agony. With the only thing keeping him hunting Henri is his natural hunting compulsion. Otherwise he probably would go to the nest and rest.

Dear lord, their eyes up close are as horrifying as they are illuminated. I find these rats to be extremely territorial and showing little to no fear for the protagonist. How quickly they return to their body after the stalker passes by goes to show just how endless their hunger for flesh is. 7:44: This is childish of me, but this scene looked a bit funny and made me laugh a bit, as if the protagonist was filming the rats comfortably up close despite the rats hissing, and upon being ambushed, instead of fleeing for his life, the protagonist started filming the big creature instead. Alright I’ll show myself out. On a more serious note, I like how some games today more or less have a full character model for the protagonist, which I suppose not only makes it feel more cinematic with limbs showing from time to time, but may also help in casting shadows? 8:23: “Dead flesh can server as a distraction”, it has been a while since I last visited Amnesia: The Dark Descent, and I am curious, whereabout in the game was this mentioned or hinted at again? I should play that game again soon. 10:26: At long last, the camera perspective of the Proclamator of Death. I am having an out of body experience over here. This is starting to feel like an alternative version of Final Destination! At the end, it looked like the stalker missed you at first. And then it turns out that your physical body just forgot to move, haha. I must have said it before, but I really enjoy how these episodes are narrated in a way that feels both personal/unique and in-depth, it feels a bit like playing the game for the first time in a way. Some say that to this day, the rat at 8:55 still never makes it on time for dinner.

Funny Situation i had, a Week Ago i was going home at night from Work and i was thinking: hm i think i finish Amnesia the Bunker today i mean it cant be that Scary. And in this moment a Rat appeared in front of me, did begin to Hiss, watched me for maybe 2-3 Seconds and then did run away and i was like: Ok intresting coincidence😂🐀

If there are only 22 rats on the map, is it possible to kill them all, by shooting them for example? Or do they simply respawn?

to my understanding the game does not generate new rats, but rather redirects the already active ones and keeps the inactive ones as spare, so if all rats are killed on one map they should technically stop re-spawning I have not tested this however
