Nice to see a guy who has done well for himself know how to spend his money. All about the kids/grandkids and quality time. On an incredibly beautiful boat. Very sweet.

Congratulations Adrian Newey. Enjoy your break, we hope to see you back someday. Thank you for everything you've done for motorsport.

Eddie, I thought you were a motor boat guy. Second thoughts, you're probably a motor boat guy AND a sail boat guy. Good for you!!

If got the cash, I'm sure there's not a better boat to sail the world in.. What a gorgeous creation..

Is it me (non boat person) or does anyone else (non boat people) see yachts like this and remember the old round the world racing yachts from back in the 1980s. Recently started watching a young couple in America who bought and converted the Duracel racing yacht into a cruiser…and this sort of yacht really makes me remember watching those Le racing yachts…all be it with less racing and more comfort. Amazing design ❤❤❤

What a stunning yacht, well done guys. But also well done for showcasing her so beautifully too, fantastic footage and very well presented Eddie. Such a lovely video that for some reason it has left me feeling quite emotional and brought a tear to my eye and smile across my face. Well Done ❤

I love Eddie's passion. I always thought he was a sunseeker man, not a sailor!

It would be interesting to hear how this owner enjoyed his WOR with the 4 m keel. How many anchorages were denied by this draft.

A view from the UK. S'cuse my ignorance but why are you so concerned in reducing the weight of the boat with carbon fibre when you sling 10tons of keel under it?
@jonasferencz85696 ай бұрын
Even with 10tons under the water, lighter is still lighter. Less weight above the water makes the boat more stable as well, less weight trying to flip the boat over.
@kevinliu99985 ай бұрын
A heavier keel gives the boat more "righting force" allowing it to sail faster under stronger winds. Thats why during some boat races you'll often see some of the crew sitting on 1 side of the boat dangling their legs over.

Now take the concept to the rest of the Range. My dream Oyster is the 745 but I would GT the 675 next. The clever, more mass market choice would be the 595 of course (if any Oyster could be called mass market....the 595 is magnificent)
@richardwallinger16835 ай бұрын
this 885 could be Adrian,s it has that attention to detail one would expect from Adrian . that is one lovely floating palace .

Eddie Jordan convinced to Adrian buy a Oyster. He is also Newey's manager.
@sdsorrentino9 ай бұрын
What do you lose with the deeper keel? Where can't you go with it that you could go with the regular 885 keel?

It’s good to see Eddie in fine fettle. I was a huge fan of Jordan F1 back in the day. It was such a scrappy little team and Eddie was and is irrepressible.

Is this Adrian Newey's new boat?
@oysteryachts9 ай бұрын
Hello, no this is not his boat - this is the brand new Oyster 885GT, Babiana.
@kevinliu99985 ай бұрын
Newey has commissioned a same model, not sure if it's GT but I suspect we will soon find out!

Eons more desirable and nautical than those dreadful training shoe design Sunseekers that he used to own. Classy boat.
