@@1jxjytgamedeveloper289 UK police/emergency vehicles all look really clean, sleek and modern while American police cars have a very gritty, badass, blockbuster look to them. Both very cool

I reckon that Renault ambulance is a DTU… no one goes that slow through a red light after they’ve done their training 😂

Could be transporting a patient having a surgical procedure done, like intubation or something.

Now these vids would have been brilliant in the 80s with the varied fleets and equipment. LFB and Met just use the same spec on everything now

Anyone know what's actually in the Commercial Vehicle Unit vans? Can't be normal cell vans surely???
@GeorgeThoughts3 жыл бұрын
I don't know, but you'd think there could be weighing equipment for lorries? And other tools to check they're up to standard. Although, I thought that the Driver and Vehicles Standards Agency was responsible for keeping Commercial Vehicles up to code... So perhaps the Police Van unit actually is just cells and is used for policing crime against lorries? Theft of contents, etc.

Although DVSA do a lot of enforcement, their focus will often be on larger commercial vehicles; there’s a lot of vans in use around the capital that need looking at too! For commercial vehicle operations, you’ll most likely find that the rear is filled with equipment used for checking and then enforcement - so a set of mobile weigh pads, cables for immobilising vehicles that have been prohibited, chucks for tyres, a body skate for getting underneath vehicles. I’d also expect additional lighting and cones etc to help set up and manage a check site. I would expect the rear seats to have a small table and power for writing up information, or conducting roadside interviews.

The vans are used as a mobile office. In the rear is seating & a desk then the boot space is storage for ordinary traffic equipment plus some extras for commercial vehicle inspections

this type of filming of government vehicles could be interpreted as hostile reconnaissance...

Someone's being reading up on their CONTEST strategy 🤣 Don't worry mate, I don't think what Cobra is doing constitutes hostile recon.
