Positional Asphyxia is *not* about having "room to breathe", but rather refers to suffocation that occurs due to the bodys literal position, such as being in a folded position that causes your airways to bend and restrict airflow, or being unable to physically move something that is blocking their airways. For example, in the 1800s there was a mens fashion accessory that was more or less a fancy white collar made of hard material, it was so hard that if men got too drunk they risked passing out and dying from positional asphyxia as their head droop could (and occasionally did) drive the collar into their throat and cut off airflow resulting in death. They had plenty of room to breath, but they couldn't adjust their posture to save themselves.

disturbing relationships always have side effects... they can be on partners, they can be on jobs (and consequently on life), they can be on kids... people dont realize that a toxic relationship has to be stopped without exitation or regrets that's very sad
@andyzhang766110 ай бұрын
The lighthouse story was insane to me. Imagine having to keep a dead decaying corpse with you in a tight lighthouse for months simply because if you just dispose of the body into the ocean, others will accuse you of murder. So you have to keep the body there to torture yourself just so you have it as proof of your innocence? I don't even think it mattered if the 2 had a conflict with each other prior because I'm sure if he came back to tell everyone that his lighthouse partner died of sickness and his body was disposed of in the ocean, nobody would've believed him and may have even criticized him for not keeping the body. I feel so bad for the lighthouse keeper. IT was basically self torture either way regardless and he had no other witnesses to prove his innocence.

The "hide and seek" story at the end happened near where I live in Orlando, FL. I didn't realize how abusive the man was too. It doesn't excuse what she did, but still. Man, that whole situation was all kinds of fucked up. And so is she.
@MyNameHere1012 жыл бұрын
I know some people like that. It doesn't matter how toxic the relationship, they are just tied to each other until one of them dies or goes to prison for life. Even when one of them gets separated for like 10 years, they immediately reunite and go back to all their toxic ways. It's like some form of dark magic that cursed them to haunt each other.
@gnarthdarkanen74642 жыл бұрын
Plenty f*cked up... BUT I have a limited amount of sympathy for Jorge, all things considered. It doesn't excuse her, obviously... BUT if you can't contain yourself about someone, it's not healthy... SHE should've stuck to her guns, as it were, and once he was out... KEEP him out of her life. JUST drop the son of a b*tch and move on. Any time he shows, call the cops... period. Sooner or later, they'll get tired of screwing around and enforce law on him. DO NOT contact him other than that... (also period). BUT they both seem pretty attracted to the chaos... Maybe I'm screwed up, somehow, but once someone's "officially in the EX-territory" that's the end of it. I want NOTHING more to do with them or that situation. There's no point in trying to play that "make him jealous" game or playing "hard to get"... Sex is fun and all, but it ain't worth torture. Life's too damn short to waste my time. ...ANYWAYS... That's just how I see it. ;o)

In addition Thimas Howell had kept the light going all that time meaning he was on watch all day and all night. A cruel twist of fate is that if he hadn't kept the light on he'd have been rescued earlier as they would have had to mount a more serious rescue effort. The fact the light was working meant that they thought it couldn't be that bad.

The suitcase story reminds me of a story I had heard about a guy who was either too poor or too cheap to buy a second plane ticket for his wife, so he got her to hide in a suitcase and she was placed in the cargo section of the plane (this was pre-9/11). The cargo area wasn’t pressurized, and she died. Her husband was arrested and charged with negligent manslaughter.

Another awful thing about the last story is that the 911 operator had to keep promoting her to do CPR because she knew it wasn't going to help. Again and again, he asks her if she's doing CPR and she says "yes" like a 12-year-old who is being asked for the 5th time if they are cleaning their room. It's sick. I have a folktale legend story to share :) As a kid I once heard an Asian story :) The story goes :) "There was a blacksmith family man that was quite talented in creating farm tools and house used objects:) One day he was making a giant knife (a cutting knife) :) The entire village people were amazed of his hand made cutting knife :) Everyone asked what was the purpose of your giant knife :) He responded to kill a bear :( One unfortunately day, it was a hunting season of the year when most men went out hunting for their families :) He too also went hunting when he came upon a thick bush (mostly tall vegetation of some kind) An enormous bear was bedding inside it and he didn't know it :( All of a sudden, the huge bear roars and stood up facing the man :( His giant knife as he mentioned earlier to the entire village about killing the bear was useless :( He was mauled and attacked in a split second that the man with the biggest hand made cutting knife had no time to responded and the bear pinned him down on the ground for the killed :( Fortunately, he survived it with scars nearly 50% all over his body and a portion of his cheek was missing :( After the attacked the bear left and he came home :( The village people gave him a new name...bearman" Back to the video :) The lighthouse incident was the most petrified of all :( 🤔

I didn't expect the video from the last story to be so disturbing. I'm specially sensitive to sound, so his muffled voice coming from the suitcase as it moved with him struggling inside... Is truly spine chilling to me. I think seeing the suitcase doesn't help either because it's hard to concieve that a whole person could be inside such a small space. I think my subconsciousness thinks that person might be cut to pieces and somehow still alive to fit in there (After all, murderers cutting their victim corpses to pieces to fit them inside suitcases seems to be fairly common practice amongst the coldest of them). Watched it once and I feel like it could give me nightmares. Won't watch it again.

Last one… She does clarify that this is how she feels when he chokes her. He has also been a violent progress. This is a two sided situation. It is obvious from her slurring her words that shewas drunk, so she definitely did not realize it was so serious, but all the times he kicked her door in and attacked her and choked her.
